Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

RDSJCR:

I had received that email address as well, but when I sent a message to it, I received an error.  It seems as though the email address has changed.  I know that Ana's email address changed recently, so I'm wondering if theirs did too.

I am assuming that we will need appointments, but that's hard to do with no contact info. Grrr

Hopefully someone else has information!

I've been out of commission on the website for quite sometime, and just saw that you asked if I have pictures/ideas for flowers.  I am going to have an all white bouquet for myself.  For the bridesmaids, I am going to go into Cancun or Playa, and try to find flowers and make up bouquets for them.  I just can't justify spending $100+ per bouquet.  I am going to do all orange (if possible), and will probably use whatever flowers are readily available.  Other than that, our wedding will be pretty low-key so I haven't picked out other decor.

What about you?

Thank you so much for posting this!  I love all the pictures!  These are really helpful to me. We're hoping to have our reception at one of the restaurants.

I absolutely love this forum. I've already learned so much from reading the previous posts!

Yazmin can be reached at weddings1.drerc@dreamsresorts.com

Thanks so much for this info, I sent my questions to Yazmin and hopefully will get a response soon. We've tried calling the resort for a few days and cannot get through. Finally got a response to an email I sent out TWO MONTHS ago yesterday, but it is totally outdated and just so frustrating.

LOL...is this ridiculous to anyone else? Brides are paying to buy their own sashes, etc and then leave them at the resort and the hotel is charging new brides to use something the hotel never even paid for?!? Wow.

Chesley- Who are you using for a photgrapher?

I just heard from Ana that it will cost me 650.00 to rent the PROJECTOR for the welcome party?? OK - this is INSANE!!! Again this has to be a mistake...

jfazzina:

Sorry for all of the posts, but again, I'm FINALLY catching up on the forum.  We are actually using our cousin as the photographer.  I think he will do a great job, we will be able to get the shots we want, and we will save majorly on the costs.  The locations provides a great backdrop,so I think it will be tough to mess up the pictures.

That is CRAZY about the projector....have you found out anything differently since you last posted?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
