Sorry girlie not sure, it all depends on how many pictures you are trying to sneak in there etc. but I do know that our photographer Elizabeth Medina has done a number of 'first look' photo shoots for couples who wanted to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests after etc. So maybe ask your photographer to shoot the two of you meeting at say 3 pm, and then have the ceremony at 4? Just a thought.
We're using Elizabeth as well, so maybe I'll just e-mail her and see what she thinks. I know that most ladies seem to say that there weddings haven't started on time, so it makes me a little nervous! I also saw you mention that you're extending your reception by an hour - I haven't even thought of that!

Now that it's less than 4 months to go I feel like the stress level is spiking again! wacko.gif

Do you girls know if our reception HAS to be 3 hours? What if we want to add an hour? Anyone doing that?

Anyone getting married in Oct- what time is your ceremony/reception?

Thanks :) Robyn
Hey girl! Our wedding is Oct 26th. What time is your ceremony starting? Also, what are your wedding colors?

I think you're right Boo. I think it is 10 pm. But that really stinks...my reception begins at 8...so how can i only have the DJ for 2 hours. I am getting all confused and my wedding is in two weeks!

Our ceremony is beginning at 4pm, but from what I heard it never begins on time. Which will probably irritate me just a bit :) I am a very punctual person and things not going on time kinda frustrate me. but oh well :) OUr wedding colors I think are the same as yours pink and orange. OUr guys are wearing ivory and chocolate. I am getting so nervous with it only being 3 months away, but the sad thing is it will all be over in 3 months and a week sad.gif So I'm trying my best to keep that in perspective. My fiance and I have been dating for 14 years so I've waited a LONG time to plan a wedding!! :)

I was wondering if anyone has info on the wedding cakes? I e-mail Ana about it and she just sent me slideshows of other brides weddings and told me to look in those pictures for what they have to offer. I just wondering how detailed their cakes were?? and are we allowed to bring in a picture of a cake we like and how closely they can replicate it? Thanks :)

I think it's 11 also. When I first got my contract it said that the ceremony was 6, cocktail hour 7-8, dinner and reception 8-11.
We ended up moving our cocktail hour to the day before and then starting dinner at 7 so our reception goes until 10.

I just cant imagine eating dinner at 8 when I've spent the whole day getting ready... I'd pass out!!

I am just going with the cake that comes with the ultimate package. It is ugly! LOL...but not wasting money on a cake. It feeds 20 and it is just white icing!

LOL...that's a good idea! Mine is exactly the same times as yours. Ceremony is at 6...so are you seeing your fiance before to take pictures? We have to or we will miss cocktail at 7. I hate that so much!! Really wanted to see him for the first time when I was walking down the aisle.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
