From what I've seen and heard, you go to the spa. Not sure if they would be able to come to your room, but if that's what you want - ask about it, maybe they could work out something (at least for the makeup)...

The arch and the white drapes are included if you the beach ceremony. If you want colored drapes, that is extra.

I think they have a way of saying things that isnt totally concrete or fully explained.. and then there are all these surprises as far as extra charges go. =(
Just want you to know!! =)
Hmm...now I am very torn on this. I keep going back and forth on where to have dinner. Obviously the option that would make the most sense financially would be to just have dinner at one of the restaurants (as previously mentioned) but I did want something that is at least semi-private. Paying $300+ on wine seems ridiculous to me but it is still much less than paying for a private dinner on the deck.

Was anyone there last September that can tell me what the hotel was like as far as capacity? Was getting a reservation at the restaurants difficult? Are there any restaurants that have sections you can rope off or that would be somewhat private?

I had no problem spending the money for the Dreams in Love package but with about 15 people, I feel like I should save that money and use if for the AHR where we are expecting 70+.

From what I understand, you go to the SPA for your hair and Make-up. You actually have to make an Appointment...but like the other girl suggested ask them and see what they say! I am choosing not to use the SPA except for the messages, I actually gave my cousin, who is my TA, my hair and make-up appointment since they wonâ€t let me substitute or exchange it for anything else. We booked the Master Suit and I have hired Fernando Fuentes and his hair stylist to come do our hair and make-up in the suit. I just didnâ€t want to be down at the salon, I would rather us be in the room drinking and getting ready together.

As for the grooms room the night before…..itâ€s so hard to tell. I was there in October and there was lots of open rooms but it had just opened. My fiancé is going to his brotherâ€s room the night before if need be and his brothers fiancé is going to spend the night with me. It will be fun no matter what……donâ€t stress over this. This is so small compared to the day

Hi Ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA and not really contributing, between moving and my dad having emergency surgery things have been crazy! I'm also interested in the size of the tables, like rdsjcr.

Also - I'm wondering what some of you ladies are choosing for where to have your cocktail hour? My TA recommended the jacuzzi area and that's what I currently have "on hold" with Ana.

So now I'll try and start reading backwards and catching up on everything :)

I am using him on Saturday November 13, 2010. I have found him to be good. He will email you back....I know he is REALLY REALLY BUSY and does tons of weddings. He was actually taking a little bit to get back to me at first so he called me on the phone, which i thought was great. I had to send a 50% deposit to him but he has an amazing reputation.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
