here we walk you through their reception setup... Notice the globe details in the background... nice touch. Perhaps hanging a TAD low...

A table setup...Obviously, its night time and the ocean would be in the background from this angle looking out of the Seaside Grill (pool foreground is nice layering touch for photos)

This lounge setup is on the side of the reception area, kinda packed in. Luckily their group was kinda small, less than 25 people I think so this worked well!

Dance floor setup.. I think each one of those tiles is 4x4 or 5x5, cant remember. Total space of 10x10ish, lets say. Again, i think the globes were hanging a tad too low, for the tall people they were bumping heads with them a little.

Another scene setter back across the resort, just for a piece of mind to know what the night views look like :)

ok, hope that helps with your visualization.

SALUDOS,

Ohhhhh thanks - very pretty. I would love to use the Seaside Grill as a reception venue. Just not sure if our group is going to be small enough.

Congrats, everything looked absolutely beautiful!!! Loved your bridesmaids dresses and hairflowers especially. Great colours! And everyone looked like they were having so much fun, awesome.

Here's the deal with that though - you won't know which restaurant until you get there and it is based on occupancy. So it can be done, but you'll have to have a plan b in case it doesn't work out.
Are you paying extra to have your welcome dinner in the closed down restaurant?

Princess - yes we're paying for a private event - we're doing the Caribbean buffet and the Caribbean trio for the welcome dinner and I don't remember the cost, but it's the same as the per person cost of the wedding reception. ($32 per person maybe?)

Does having the reception in one of the closed down restaurants cost extra? Seaside Grill looks great, we're having less than 25...maybe pool deck/terrace could be plan b?

I got an email from her that I can send you..but I believe two color maracas start at $4 then add $.25 for names, $.25 for date, and $.25 for location. So about 4.75 each, unless you want more detail to it. Then she has adorable tags that say "shake at the kiss" ( I am sure those are extra). They will ship right to the resort also. I really love them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
