Here is the pool deck setup in the day. At night they add spot lights for lighting and the infinity pool light was also on!

Here is our sweetheart table. The overlay was much too large for the table though.

Here is a table setup. We went really simple in the end. I had more vases for each table but the wind prevented any candles from being lit, so it was pointless to use the other vases. It provided the simple touch we wanted.

My husband loves Family Guy so I made these table numbers and bought seashell photo holders from Kohls to hold them up. Luckily, they were able to survive the wind.

Instead of chair sashes I made these decorations for the aisle chairs at the ceremony. They were perfect! It was the simple touch we wanted!!! I loved them!!!

OK, Ana emailed me back and said the jacuzzi area is available outside for our reception but can only fit up to 30 people. I think we should be ok with that...I can't imagine more than 30 people will be going but who knows? Does anyone have pictures of the jacuzzi area? If we don't do it there then I guess we will use one of the restaurants. Either way, it will be wonderful.

You had a very beautiful set up! I can't wait to see more pictures of you wedding! Thanks for posting pictures! Did you bring your own certerpieces (the glass vases with the flower and candle) of was that what Ana had provided for you?

Our wedding is 10/4/10. I have seen pics of the beach, gazebo, and "rain" locations...my fiance does not want to be married on the beach. I do not like the design on the gazebo and it seems from the reviews that it can lack privacy. I have liked the photos of the 'rain location' best...it is the terrace in front of one of the clubs. It seems very quiet and private, and I liked the look of the pergola. I am wondering if Ana will have a problem with us choosing this as our location even if it is not raining? For those who have been here, am I missing something with regard to the drawbacks of the terrace for a wedding? I am really hoping they have a garden location available by the time we get there, as that is what we would really prefer, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Thanks for any input!

The terrace is the most private location (I think). I'm sure Ana will be fine with you using the terrace even if it's not raining. When I was there in May, I saw a wedding on the terrace. I guess the 'drawback' is that there is no view of the ocean from up there. So the surrounding atmosphere isn't as scenic as the outdoor locations. However, the terrace is covered overhead - so much less windy as well. How many guests will you have? If you have a small group (I guess around 30), you could probably have your ceremony set up in the garden. The terrace can accommodate more people.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
