Hey Boo congrats ;-)
that's what we've been told that better option for us will be to have the reception at the maroma, but I kinda worry how that is going to work for us since we have to leave the maroma the latest 11 pm.
So Boo since you have your reception at the DRC do you have to purchase two wedding packages ? Who is your wedding coordinator at the Maroma?
Thanks

Secrets Maroma - its Cecilia, we looked at the option of doing it at the Maroma marina, we are doing it on a resort instead. Yes day passes / package had to be purchased, hence not a cheap option.

We are doing 2 pm ceremony at Secrets Maroma. 2:30-4 pm cocktail hour at Secrets Maroma. Then dinner and dancing back at DRC at 6 pm. We are renting a bus for a half day to accomodate travel of our guests and its only about 10-15 min. away provided there isnt crazy traffic.

There are a number of vendors who will provide tables / linens, and there are a bunch of fun venues if you want to go the marina route, or there are private houses that can be rented. Cheers.

thanks for the info..... I was a bit worried!

BTW ladies.. I just bought the cutest tote (beach) bags for my OOt bags at the Dollar Tree.. A girl on this forum posted it and I like them much better than the Jute bags I originally bought.. plus they were only a $1.oo They are canvas material with a liner (mine is Fuchsia).. I spent between 3.00-5.00 on my other bags so this is a steal!!! I think if you go on the website you can buy in bulk.. case of 36 hope this helps!

Congrats!! Everything is going to go so well for you! If you go to the planning thread on the forum there is a planning journal by LadyDi and she posted her to do list - it includes the whole year, but the week before and the week of the wedding to dos are very detailed and helpful!
good luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
