You have to go thru Ana / Resort, there are no individual quotes from DJ's. Its USD 300 + tax? for an hour for a DJ, DRC uses Doremixx and Mannia as their preferred vendors.

Whoa! That's crazy! I did not see a single armed individual the entire time there and we walked around the resort at 2am with no problems...although I did not go to the beach at 2am.

As for the beach bar - I went down at 5:30 to see what the beach looked like and we had a few drinks until we left at 6:30 - but there were still people sitting in the swings. I don't remember seeing it open the first night we were there when we went for dinner at 8pm. If that helps any...

I believe it was around $1250 for the 50 person catamaran for 3 hours and transportation to and from the resort. We had originally thought about going with the 40 person boat. There was only 35 of us, but we wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable and there was room for everyone to sit and/or walk around. I'm happy with our choice, though I'm sure the smaller one would have been just fine.

You might be able to find something different for transportation but I felt more comfortable going with the same company...this way if anything happened, I was not held responsible.

The price of the catamaran also included all you can drink and some dry snacks. I would remind your guests to grab something to eat prior to the cruise as the snacks don't go far. The sandwhiches at the coffee shop worked perfect for this! You could even have people bring a sandwhich with them, if they wanted.

The person that I had been emailing regarding my reservations was VERY helpful and responsive to my emails. His name is Jose and his contact info is:

info@marinacancun.com

I highly recommend contacting him if you are interested in this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
