My gazebo wasn't decorated at all but I saw pictures on line somewhere that people had it all dressed up with floral and then I saw a really contemporary look with benches etc... That looked really rool and I would have done tbhhat if i had the big wedding with friends coming etc..
I did not see a beach wedding while there at dreams except they set up for one down the beach a little at another resort. It was done all up in white curtains and looked pretty but it was also very basic.

Believe it or not, i am doing OOT Bags as well and I got mine from Marshalls! They have them all hanging as soon as you walk in the door. I got really nice colorful ones, that are the exact colors I am using too! I am putting two towels in them (cause i will have two guest to a room), a really funcky drink glass/ mug to keep peoples drinks cool during the day at the pool, and a few other small things......haven't totally decided that yet. I only paid $1.99 for two. So a dollar each and they are awesome! looks like i spent like $8.00 per bag! And i figured people could use them again when they get home as well as for the beach while they are there!

Does anyone know how long it takes for someone to reply at Dreams Riviera Cancun? It's been over a month and I haven't heard anything. I guess I was thinking I would receive an e-mail at least. All of the other Dreams resorts have responded but of course I like the Riviera Cancun the best. Planning on having an April 2011 wedding.

Just wondering if you could tell me how big the pool deck is and if you feel it would be large enough for the reception with approx 40 guests? We are not looking at a formal dinner at all but will have about 4 tables set up for people to sit and eat at when ever they feel like it. Sorry to ask if you have already posted a review (I am being a tad lazy tonight).

Thanks!

Hi Rachelle,
The pool deck is pretty big. It would most definitely be big enough for 40 guests. I think they say it can hold up to 200 people! I had 4 tables and a buffet and there was PLENTY of room!

All of us brides have this same issue. I guess the name of the game is patience! I have sent multiple e-mails in the last 2 months and never received a reply. I am getting married November 2010. I have had the best luck having my travel agent find out information for me. She actually just calls Ana. My TA sent me a pre-paid calling card so I can call Ana myself, which is what I think I am going to have to do. Good luck!

Also - I have templates for my bridesmaids and groomsmen, which I'm sure you can tweak for all guests - I'll attach those as well. I bought a10 sized cards (3.875 x 9.25) at Michaels - it was in the wedding aisle - Mix and Mingle by Gartner studios (I bought white and then ordered pink envelopes from Paper Presentation to stuff them in).

Anyone been there lately and keep the resorts lists of activities and times? I'd love to see that to get a better idea of what happens when.

Tell me if I'm crazy - I like sparkles and heels. Maybe it's to help me feel feminine after all my mom chores, but I love these heels. My mom said the nude wouldn't work for the wedding, but I'm not sure. Are they too much?

I'm doing the oleg cassini ct326 that's T-length in front and long in back. I wanted a shoe that will work for the "blue" in the "something old, something new..."
I'm keeping things a little on the casual side, too.
Love the shoe!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
