Lori,
I'm surprised there are 2 OTHER weddings on your wedding day. I asked Ana about this situation and she assured me they are only allowed two weddings per day. My friend got married in Cabo last year and she told me they had originally placed the receptions right next to each other (!)...she told me to be sure before signing your contract you have the privacy and site that you want in writing.
I'm sure you'll get everything you want, this is what they do after all!

I was told there are only 2 weddings a day, also. But I know on my day mine is at 11:00 am, there is one at 1:00pm and then another at 4:00. I believe all of the receptions are in the evening. Not sure how all of this will work out............

My TA also told me that DRC has over 200 weddings scheduled!! They are gettting really busy so maybe they are just squeezing weddings in wherever they can. I hope the quality and service don't suffer because they got too popular, too fast!

I was told by my TA that they only do two weddings a day, was I misled? Do they do up to 3 per day? I was also told that there was a morning slot and afternoon slot but it seems like two ladies on here have just realized that their ceremonies are only an hour and a half apart. What have you ladies been told about this?
On wedding location - I think it's first come first serve. However, Ana clearly stated when I told her we wanted the beach deck, that it would depend on party size, and that the larger party would be given the deck IF that's what they wanted. She then made a note in her large spreadsheet where she tracks all weddings - that our first preference was the beach deck. It may be that your TA has some pull with her to get around this. It was a toss up for me between the beach deck and the pool area . . . the area between the pools has these three little water fountains right in the concrete walk area that are lit up at night an they are SOOOO cool. Really the resort is beautiful . . . and it's going to be a great day/night no matter where your location ends up!!

She told me $35 per adult... 1/2 per child. If anyone heard any different, please let me know. (that is for 2 hours)

Those of you doing it in a restaurant... what is the price and details you are getting?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
