SALE Unity Sand Ceremony Vases - $43.45 - Weddingfavours.ca

both our Moms are going to pour first sand from the location, then we will use the kit with our two colours (tourquise and ?)

the Moms will use pearl nautilus shells (I have ordered 2 that are 6-7 inches each but havent received them yet)

Pearl Nautilus Seashells, Sea Shells, Sea Shell, Seashell

I am then going to go an get some plain stands so that I can put the shell with sand on the table for our ceremony
Boo...Do u know if we have to purchase this sand kit? Or do they have them available at the resort for the ceremony? I thought this would be something they supplied.

Hmm all the ladies that I have spoken too, have purchased theirs ahead of time - that being said maybe there is a set that the hotel has for you purchase, I would double check with Ana (easier said than done). I am not sure that they would have them though, and also if they do, one of the advantages of buying them ahead of time or online is that you can get your names and date, etc. inscribed on it if you like that. Actually come to think of it - I have seen sand ceremonies with funky multi coloured glass vases before and it looked really pretty, that sort of think you may be able to pick up at DRC or even in Playa.

I created a wedding website and put all of my TA info on there so that my guests could call her directly to get pricing and to book their rooms.

Laura- how much did they charge you per person after the 20 person limit for dinner? I have 63 guests and have heard it around 50 dollars per person after 20! I am doing the most expensive package but that still only includes 20! I would think they would give us a break since we are bringing 60 extra guests they otherwise would not have!

Hey girls! It has been over 3 weeks now since I emailed Ana.... she has never been this slow at returning my emails! It is VERY annoying. I know that many people on here say give her some time, but I am so frustrated now. I get it, she has other weddings and on the day of my wedding I would not want her emailing other brides instead of helping me, HOWEVER, I am still paying a good amount of money to go down there and at the very least I expect some professionalism working with a large chain that has thousands of weddings a year! They need to get it together down there and higher this girl an assistant!!! We all know they have enough money (where else is the extra $$$ from the DJ services, photography, ect going? ha ha).

I think I have decided to give up on planning all of this. I am going to just wing it and show up in Mexico with my fingers crossed! At the end of the day it does not matter about the decorations or music, right? As long as you are happy and marrying the man of your dreams! (yes, that is my attempt at justifying the situation and making light of everything :) ).

We have the same situation - guest traveling from several different states. My travel agent, who is also my best friend, has done a great job securing the best pricing for airfare whether through the charter or commercial flights. She also put together a package group contract for us so there are no suprises - if you would like to use her, send me a PM and I will hook you up!

Amen Amen...I am in the same boat. I sent Ana several emails about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Never got one response. So, I called her on Tuesday and she said she was on another line with a client and that she would call me back. Did I receive a call back? Of Course not. That is just not very professional. Especially since I already put my deposit down and like you other ladies we are all paying a great sum of money. We need help! Excuse me she needs help!

Hang in there girl! smile03.gif I agree with you - though, I've been pretty relaxed about this up until two weeks ago when I emailed her and she never responded and now it's holding up me ordering my wedding invitations - I'm very frustrated as well. It's been her lack of response that has pretty much forced us to do a site visit...I was having too many panic attacks.

Your wedding is going to be amazing! The two of you are going to be so happy and everything will come together so well once you get down there! So far we've only seen very positive reviews of the weddings, the pictures all look amazing so you should have total confidence that your day is going to b AMAZING!

Maybe you just need a week where you don't do anything wedding related? A mini vaca from the stress?

I highly suggest using a TA - it's sooooo much easier! Mine keeps me updated on who booked, who requested quotes but never got back to her etc...

We set up a website as well - and we have a section on there for "Travel Information" Under that we wrote - there are two ways for you to book your travel to our wedding:

1. Using our Travel Agent - then we listed her contact information, what she'll need to get you booked, her price match information and payment information (no fee, but a deposit is required, full payment due 60 days before travel)

2. Book on your own - we stressed that if something were to go wrong (flight cancellation etc) you'd be on your own (although we said it nicer then that!) but here are a few websites the help you - then we listed the Dreams Website. Be sure to remind people that it's Dreams Riviera Cancun NOT Dreams Cancun...that's my biggest fear for people people booking on thier own.

Then on the response card for our invitations we have line that says:
Arrival Date:
Arrival Time:

So we can keep track.

does that help?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
