I'm getting the Ultimate package, too. I think we'll have closer to 30 guests though.
I like the No. 2 off of the Silver Menu:
Raviolis filed with spinach served trees cheese sauce
Carpaccio of scallop and Salmon served with lime and Shallot vinaigrette
Cream of Asparagus with roasted almond
Sea bass fillet served over fresh Spinach and Hollandaise sauce
“ORâ€
Gigot of Lamb served with Provenzal sauce
Tulip of strawberry with grand Marnier sauce and ice vanilla ice cream
and 1 & 3 from the Gold Menu:
No. 1
Tropical Martini shrimp cocktail served with brunoise of Avocado
Puff pastry field with Salmon and wild mushroom served white wine sauce
Cream of mushroom with baby shrimp
Beef tenderloin filed with vegetable julienne served in red wine sauce
“ORâ€
Chicken breast filed with spinach and provolone cheese served with saffron sauce
Peach cheese cake served with strawberry Couli
No 3
Mussel sauté with champagne serve with threes cheese sauce
Snow crab cake served with avocado and tomato dressing
Cream of leek served with fish quenelle
Sea bass feuillete served fresh asparagus and Portobello mushroom and beurre Blanc sauce
“ORâ€
Lamb Wellington served with mushroom duxell and demi armaniac sauce
Timbale of with and dark chocolate served with vanilla sauce
These seem like the most "universal" choices overall... I'm narrowing the choices to these and then FI, his brother, and one of my bff's will vote! So I'm kinda democratic, right? LOL

the two DJs that are used for DRC are DJ Mannia and Doremixx, both have very good reviews from other ladies on the forum

unfortunately, the cash grab, is that we have to book them thru the resort where as if you got their price list directly they are cheaper but we cant book them ourselves, just one of those things that is super frustrating

On the menu choices like # 3 when it says " Or Lamb Wellington" what does that mean? Is it saying you can have that as the main entree? I am confused by that.

Yeah, my understanding is that guests will have a choice of main course (like fish OR chicken, Beef OR lamb, etc) but the rest still remains the same.

I made a little survey on surveymonkey.com and sent it out to FI, his brother, and my bff.

When I get the menu down I'll add it to my webpage for my guests to see...

Geez! 1200 is around how much it would cost us out here but you don't get the extras... $600 is a lot too just for an iPod that I'm bringing with my own music loaded onto it. They should include the sound system with the package, don't you think??

Are you having your reception on the pool terrace?

Is the pool deck the same thing as the pool terrace?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
