i really liked it... im not sure if i like it enough to change my ceremony location, but we will see!

also- speaking of flowers, i really need some opinions on mine. my bridesmaids are wearing marine (davids bridal's name for a navy blue) and our flowers are going to be bright pink. however, since i am also having a reception at home, i decided to opt for flowers that are not real. i hope that im not making a mistake... since i am having issues posting the picture, i will just ask if you think it is going to make a huge difference, whether anyone will be able to tell just from pictures? what do you think? I appreciate any thoughts!

I haven't actually sorted out all the details of my package with Ana yet. Actually I think I'm still just booked with the free package, but will upgrade this. Just not sure yet whether I will do the Ultimate package, or the middle one.

But, I've heard that you can:
- substitute the photographer for a longer video
- substitute cocktail hour for additional people for dinner (or reduced rates for "extra" people for dinner)

I think it really is at her discretion though, so it needs to be something similar in nature (and equal or less than in value). There are a few things I would like to scrap also and just put the value towards food and beverage, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen! I'm not sure what you could substitute for the minister, but you should be able to get a longer video instead of a photographer, and maybe you could get some DJ service instead of the mexican music set? Not sure about that tho...

We were able to substitute the cocktail hour for additional guests at the reception because they are both food/beverage items. She also has said that I can substitute a bridal bouquet for a centerpiece, but it has to be the same service provider (salon, florist, photographer, ect)
This makes sense to me, and this is the impression that I got also.

Are you going with the fake flowers down in Mexico or at your reception at home? I think I'm going to go with real touch flowers too, b/c they are cheaper! there is a good forum on here about flowers and stuff, and alot of girls are doing the real touch flowers. I have never seen them , but I read alot of people saying that they are beautiful, and you definately can't see them in the pictures. So either way, I don't think it would make a difference.

This is actually taken by the in house photographer at DRC "Adventure Photos". I believe they are the new photographers for weddings. I honestly think they did a pretty good job! For the price, you really can't beat it! Also, one of the brides said in her review that the photographers let her do her photo session the next day because it rained on her day.... just an added bonus for using the resort photographer because they are there EVERY day!

My thought was that I would use them for both, Mexico, and our reception back home. that way I am not paying twice for flowers... for our reception centerpieces though i will do real flowers on half of the tables, and on the other half i am doing kind of a candle display with a vase and some sand... so at least the fake flowers wont be right under their noses:) i am definitely going to look for that flower forum. and thank you! i really appreciate your opinion=)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
