Also- with getting hair and makeup done... There is me plus 4 bridesmaids, what time would we need to get started?

thanks!

I'm in October - I'm getting married at 3 PM though - I want time to have lots of pictures taken between wedding ceremony and reception. I don't want to see my groom before the wedding for any pre-wedding pictures so we need lots of time after the ceremony and before the sun goes down!

I have not ordered my wedding linens yet and I probably won't be ordering from weddinglinensdirect since i'm not sure if they ship to Canada or not - but I have found some comparable sites that do for sure! I think for the sashes I'm going to do satin, no reason why - I just like the way they look :) Our wedding colors are Aqua(turquoise) and Fuchsia so I will probably alternate them between chairs... Not sure about table clothes or anything yet though.

yeh so I guess keeping it at 4 would be a good idea? I was thinking of moving to 4:30. But if we had it at 4...then the wedding would get over at say 4:30 and then we could do pics till 5 (guests can hang out at a bar at the hotel)-- the one ON the beach with the swings... and the the reception can go from 5-8 I guess. I just wanted a later reception. But I am not crazy about a break in between.

Kym let me know if you find some great sites, my colours are tourquise and coral/pink so pretty close. I tried getting linen from the resort and sorry to say girls they are very blah, I get that coral is a bit of a an odd colour but pink, they should be able to do pink

rdsj, in order to get all the pictures in, our ceremony in November starts at 2 pm, ends at 2:30, we will have coktail hour until 4 pm. In the meantime 2:30 till 3ish we will take group pictures then 3 to 4:30ish just the two of us. Reception will be set up by 5, food served at 5:45. I think most people enjoy just being able to hang out back in the room or sit by the pool with a drink. just my two cents.

I am soooo pissed right now. Basically they can care less! I am going home tonight and looking through the paperwork to see if it says it on our confirmations. How can they just get rid of a promotion? That is totally FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I understand that their promotions change, however, we should be grandfathered in!!

That pisses me off too THey know that we can not do anything about it. We already have our weddings booked and guest coming. They should at least give us some kind of incentive's but they did not offer anything. I am really getting kind of upset with the resort. This is not the first thing that they have done that I find is false advertising. I guess they do not realize or care that we can switch to any other dreams resort if we want after we put a deposit down on our wedding.

It seems that the customer service at the resort is not the best when it comes to trying to make their guest feel that they are important. I thought that is what dreams is all about. I have guest that are going to be very dis pointed about this. They are already upset that they are having to spend so much to stay at the resort. There is no way they are going to pay a additional price to go play golf knowing that it was included when they booked their trip.

I am going to pm you my email and if my agent gets any different answers I will let you know./

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
