ebernard I am in the same boat, I have the contract but havent paid the USD 100 deposit although Ana did mention the deposit in one of the emails I have repeatedly asked her how to pay it and she just answers the other questions that I have, I must be naive but I am not concerned

I have not paid my deposit yet either (wedding is 8 months away though!) but Ana tells me the date is being 'Held' I wrote her an e-mail yesterday wanting to know how I go about putting down a deposit and when our wedding will be confirmed for that date for sure - My travel agent wants to start pricing things out but she doesn't want to book anything until Ana tells us it's all CONFIRMED not just held! She said she would send me a copy of the Contract - but so far she has only asked for our information to hold the date and nothing else.

I'm not much help, but at least you have the contract that's a plus!!!

Also does anyone have Juan Navarro's price list? He is the included wedding photographer at the resort right? IF we end up staying with him rather than getting someone from outside the resort to do our photos if we could possibly book him for longer for the day rather than for just the ceremony because I want WAY MORE than 50 photos from our wedding - I e-mailed him but he has not gotten back to me. thanks!~

I paid my deposit in December. It took a few emails of me asking how I pay her the deposit for her to send me the information. Did you send the contract back to her? I paid the deposit when I sent her the contract back. I scanned my credit card and driver's license and sent them in an email to her along with a scanned copy of the signed contract.

My wedding is Nov 30 2010 and it is confirmed and I have paid the deposit. She sent my travel agent a form to fill out and she needed a copy of the front and back of my cc. We are doing the ultimate so it was $500.

Ebernard you may want to call her on the phone just so you get a straight answer.

Any of you girls doing the mexican wedding paper flags

I love these guys but they are expensive Hand-cut custom Wedding Papel Picado banner strings

also came across this Mexican Decorations * Papel Picado Banners

I am thinking we are going to do the marachas for the ceremony although I also considered the straw fans, hard to tell if its going to be hot or windy but figure by Nov the guests should be fine. I saw one of the ladies posted pictures of a stick with many string at the end for after the ceremony looked cute and now for the reception I am liking this idea of mexican fans and chinese lanterns? or would that be too much? Ana quoted me a crazy amount for chinese lanterns have any of you girls just bought the lanterns and brought it with, does Ana have the lights?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
