I received some answers from Ana, and I'm not sure if anyone else was waiting waiting with similar questions:

-She confirmed that artifical flower boquets were ok to use

-If you are just having a low-key reception (I am planning on just having dinner at one of the restaurants), you are free to just show up to one of the restaurants and hope that you can sit relatively close with your guests. They will also hold your cake for you in the kitchen so that you can have it out at your dinner, as long as you pick the site ahead of time.

-I also recieved a file with the free boquet options if anyone would like to see them.

Hopefully this helps!

I think I might do vases or something filled with sand, some seashells, pillar candle and a ribbon of either pink or aqua around the base and maybe some tea lights in holders around the centerpiece (those battery powered ones) since it could be windy on the pool deck!!But I haven't really thought about centerpieces all that in depth.. that's just kind of a first thought and by the time the wedding comes around I will probably have changed my mind about 20 times over!!

Maybe something like this::

Thanks Chelsey! You answered a lot of my questions! I have not seen any pictures yet of a wedding at the gazebo - I'm also curious as to how it would look

I am going to try to do something like this for my centerpieces. I want them to be simple, but I also want to use candles or maybe floralytes to add light since it is dark on the pool deck. To make these yourself it is about $10 a table. You can get the cylinder vases from dollar tree!

Oooh Neat are you going to use real flowers or fake ones underneath the candle?

I have asked Ana to let me know which company it actually is so I can see pictures ahead of booking and will let you ladies know.
Thanks for sharing this info Boo! Yeah I'm with you, 45 mins seems like a LONG time! You're right, it's not a bad price for 6 dancers, but I would much rather pay $500 for 20 mins. I wonder if this would be possible?

Don't know yet if fire dancers are in my budget (doubtful) but it's good to know!

I am having 65 people so the first 20 are included in the dinner and since i'm not having a cocktail party the next 20 guests are only $20 for the dinner. So overall I will only have to pay the full price for the last 25 guests (i know i invited too many people lol). I also confirmed with ana that over 40 people, you have to do buffet--which from the pictures i've seen is very nice...Also if you want bows or table runners, go to weddinglinensdirect.com and just buy the chair bows for 89 cents and have your friends put them on because if not it is 5.00 per chair (rip off). the chairs come wrapped in the white chair coverings for the reception with the ultimate wedding package (not sure about the love package)
here is pictures from a recent wedding there:DREAMS RIVIERA CANCUN
Fuschia is my color so I am going to utilize the free white table clothes and then buy the beaded table runners for each table in fuschia from the above website and lay those over each table.
Thanks for confirming that this is a fairly standard dinner credit Ana is offering if you forgo the cocktail party. I'm going to be having a fairly big group as well so this is really going to help my bottom line! I'll have to email Ana and let her know I want to do this.

As for the chair bows, if you bring your own do you know if Dreams will put them on the chairs for you? You mentioned that you could get your friends put them on (true), but it would be great if you could just give Ana your decorations and leave her and her crew to it! I'm definitely going to be buying chair bows from the website - $5 a chair is totally ridiculous! Why is renting something 5 times the price of buying it huh.gif?

I KNOW! I do not get how they justify their rental prices at ALL!!! I suppose because they think brides will think it's easier to just have them do everything rather than do things themselves or have friends/family do it for them - not true in my case but.. I'm sure there are others out there that WILL pay the $5 per chair bow! It's like once you mention that the services are for a wedding the price is jacked up to be 50% more than usual.. argh.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
