My travel agent told me that they do a max of two weddings per day

SDBeach girl yeah I was worried about that too so we are looking into lights under the table as well, we had initially thought candles but guess they might not stay lit if its windy out

do you know if they are all one colour? is it just white light?

again sorry to be a pest - jeez I have so much time - but fire dancers? fireworks? has anyone know a vendor for either of these, good or bad experience? Thanks - you girls really are my sanity for the last couple of months!

Boo, are you getting a DJ? Some of them provide cold fireworks. For example, DJ Doremixx does this.

As for other fireworks or fire dancers, I don't know! Which is why I haven't responded before. I'm guessing other girls don't know either and that's why you haven't gotten an answer on here. However, I'd be curious to know about fire dancers as well! Have you tried asking Ana?

You could also try searching or asking this question on the RM/Cancun Vendors thread.

Good Luck :)

My personal thoughts are that it depends on the WC, and I also think on how much "work" you are as a bride, lol. I mean if you book your date and then basically just show up and get married, I might tip a little if all goes well, but if you have sent Ana a million emails and have lots of requests, and she does a great job answering your questions and making your day amazing, then I would say a decent size tip is in order if you can swing it. Just a nice way to say thank you I think :)

Also, just curious, who are you using for a DJ? Or is this someone coming with your group from home?
Thanks for your input, Princess! We are bringing are friend who is a DJ in NY.

Hi

Was wondering if any of your other wedding parties had more than 40 guests? It seems really pricy for add on guests for the chairs, reception dinner, drinks etc? Did anyone else find this?

Also for the private reception on your wedding night, did you have to pay extra for the drinks on that night? I thought as an all "inclusive" it would be included?

Thoughts....?

From what i've been told - the extra charges for the private reception and cocktail hour are for the extra staff required to serve your event and the set up fees. When we looked at non all inclusive resorts the dinner/open bar usually ran $100-$150 per person...so although it still really adds up, in the end it is still cheaper than going for a non all inclusive resort.

We invited 150, and so far have 46 confirmed, we expect somewhere between 60-70.

I saw some really cool photos of a wedding where the guests were all drinking this bright blue drink. It looked so cool! Anyhow, I sent an email to Ana asking if the resort has a signature drink. I'm sure most of my guests would prefer wine or something a little less crazy, but I think it would be fun to start them off with this.
I love this idea! Has Ana responded to you about this? It does sound like a fun way to start the evening!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
