The outside vendor policy is still very strong in both hotels and they put so high fee that for us it becomes imposible to work. We have done a few events at Palace resosrt so maybe you cna ask your coordinator how much the fee would be and we can see what we coudl work out. Now for Azul ....they have their on furnitures and try to rent them of course...but again having a decorator and just a rental company is not the same!!

We are getting married at Cancun Palace in May 2011.  We have a stipulation in our contract that we can use outside vendors for everything.  I basically threw a fit to get it, but otherwise I wasn't getting married there and I told them that.  Do you have a price list?

I am getting married at Aventura Palace Resorts. I complained about Deco Cancun and was premitted to use an outside vendor. I am using

Thanks Sara!  I was checking out Planner1 Events, but can't find any reviews on them.  They also have VERY good pricing.  I'll check out Alquimia for sure, I thought Deco Cancun was overpriced.

Hello,

In fact there many lounge suppliers in Cancun and Riviera Maya.....there is always a difference in prices ....and there is a reason to it....there is a difference between decorator and furniture rental companies for example.    so just be carefull!

I guess the story of Chipotle99 is the perfect of reflection of this.http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/66071/do-not-use-julieta-wedding-florist

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
