Thats the reason we chose March so there are no holidays. $2075 for two is perfect thats what I am looking for..thats reasonable a $1k a person..2k a person is not. I think she got greedy this woman, saw a guaranteed commission and thought we were morons.
She tells me you dont know the prices and how travel works..I said I may not know much but I know what your telling me is unacceptable. It was from liberty travel..I was figuring if I go to a larger chain they have greater contact and pull then a little mom & pop shop but I guess not. Everyone is a hustler these days lol

Thats funny I'm using them. I hope you can get the price down to what you need it to be.

Hi Karen, my rates for the DR are averging 1k per person including airfare for 5 days at the Dreams Punta Cana for June 2010, which is a slow season. I got these prices from 2 different TA's so I think 2k a person is unreal unless the resort is really expensive.

I mean the resort is super nice, but we just came from there spending $1250 for the week BUT the manager told me March is the lowest season so us like dumdums booked it on the spot because we loved the hotel so much..literally went last week to pick a place. And now it turns out that March is high season? im so confused..and i ordered those stds today lol.

ohhh my yeh i think the slow season is pretty much May - Octoberish...... and prime time is November - April. I have heard excellent things about the Majestic and here that its beautiful and reasonable priced. I think your rates might be high just because of the season. Would they let you change your date ? and just reorder stds ?

you didn't screw up the hotel told you the wrong info, so its not your fault, they just want the business lol.... You might be able to find a really good TA that can mayyyybbee get around he high prices mayyyybeee.......

or see if they can change date at the resort and catch the company before they print the stds... either way i think everything will work itself out in time

I dont know when we walked into the branch to see we sat down at one girls desk as we started explaining what we needed she(the one we ended up speaking to) walks over says she doesnt know how to handle this come to my desk..so already we were kind of weary but said nothing.
Anyway..either JFK or Laguardia would be ok..you dont think we could get it down to like 1200 a person for the week? from your experience should we have chosen april or may? or it wouldnt have made a difference? I am not concerned with what we will pay, I am afraid to now tell people how much it will really be lol. I dont want to impose such a large burden on anyone
