LF: 10" Pink Margarita Glasses

Recommended Posts

I have fallen in love with a particular set up that I stumbled across the other day. I immediately sent the picture to my mom, who will be helping me with my flowers. She said it was doable. I was so happy to hear that. So the hunt began, I searched and googled all day yesterday with no success of finding 10" Pink Margarita Glasses (not plastic). So, I decided to see if the BDW girls can come through once again and help me locate 3-5 of these things. Below is a picture of the set up that I am trying to accomplish so you have some sort of idea.

Thanks in Advance!

Yes, if all else fails, I will use some sort of hot pink filler. I am not using real flowers, so I have to have something that will hide that ugly green styrofoam that holds the flowers. Thanks for looking though.

I got to looking at that picture and it kinda does look like they just put something in the water to make it pink...like you said.

You could purchase the clear glasses from somewhere like this:

Giant Modern Margarita Glass 10 inch tall centerpiece DF-1721361

Then purchase some hot pink glass paint from somewhere like this:

Stained Glass Painting Supplies-Hot Pink Glass Paint

It says that the paint is made for painting glass & that is would still remain transparent. It might be worth a shot if you can't find exactly what you're looking for.

I'll keep looking!! :)

Actually, if you're not wanting the glasses to be transparent, that website I gave you for glass paints, also carries a wide variety of paints that would opaque. Good luck & if I find something close to what you're looking for, I'll let you know!

BTW, did you ever decide on a location for your ceremony on Tybee?? We just spent another 10 fab days on Tybee & I just wondered what you had decided. :)

I think we are going to the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort. We are going to do a site visit in September. I just realized like the other day we have a little less then 9 months of planning time left...time to get my ass in gear!

LOL, well 9 months is more than the 5 months that I had :) I haven't stayed at the Ocean Plaza b/c we always rent a private house or condo, but it looks like the nicest of the hotels on the island. It is on the BUSY end of the island, so if your looking to have a quiet beach wedding, there, might not be the place to do it. If I can help with anything, please let me know; I feel like a Tybee expert anymore b/c I have visited so many times over the last few years.

BTW, I never did find the pics of my aunt's wedding at Marlin Monroe's (sorry), but it is a nice location for a beach wedding & reception.

Good luck!

LOL. It's okay. I emailed Ocean Plaza about having a private beach wedding. Told them I didn't want any unexpected speedos in my wedding pictures. They have yet to answer my email...so we may not have it there.

lil miss frogg - If all else fails...these flowers are available through 1-800-flowers.com. Call a participating florist and ask them where they get them or if they can sell then to you at cost. Let me know if you find them bc I am searching too but I want clear....the exact ones in the pic are hard to find, I like the lil dip or deeper part of the glass, that sets it apart from others that I have seen on the internet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
