OMG....we leave 6 weeks from today!  I feel that I am making some progress on my to do list...fitting didn't go to well but all worked out in the end....simplest dress.....over $200 in alterations.....ugh!!!

So FI wanted to put mp3 players in our oot bags (we only have 6 guests) and we have been looking for cheap ones so today I found $5 two gig HANNAH MONTANA mp3 today.  I couldn't turn them down so now I will have to put a sticker or something over Hannah's face!!  Oh well, I guess if the alcohol is flowing, maybe everyone will love her!!  It will be his job to find and load music on them!

That's not too bad. I heard some brides pay over $500 or more for the alteration. I hope you got a good deal on the dress. No worries at this point. It sucks but it can be worse.

That's a great deal! It will be one of those items that your guest will never forget. Guess what I got from Wendy's wedding.... HANNAH MONTANA mp3!!! I am sure you can cover it up with something like your wedding logo or date... $5 is a steal!

Hey ladies!! I've missed you! I've been away for a couple of days dealing with a minor storm in my life. But things are getting better. I just hate when outside influences cause stress in my home, our private santuary. Been a rough start to the week but I'm sure it will get better, it has to!

 

So what's been going on with me? I picked up my dress (it came in a month early) and still needed no alterations (didn't need any when I tried on the sample at the store either) so I was super excited to be able to bring it home. Let's hope FI doesn't take a peek. I also printed off the iron on transfers for my logo that will go on my cloth OOT bags. The printing came out okay but lets see how the iron on process goes. I also bought a few more things for the OOT bags and I cut & handtied 200 ribbons onto my invitations and will start the wax seals tonight or tomorrow. I feel like I am making progress but I do need to try and fo some hair trials since I am doing it myself. It's just hard because he humidity is not the same so I really don't know what I'm going to get until I actually get to the Caribbean. I'm trying not to stress over that but my hair has a mind of it's own and it does some pretty weird things when it is in a different environment. We'll see.

Wow Wendy, that's a steal!!!! And such a cool idea!! I have 6 guests as well and wish I could find some $5 mp3 players! I'm sure they would love them! Congrats on the great find!!

Hey lady! I'm getting married at nh-Royal Beach. It's the 'adult' side of nh-Real Arena. I was trying to look on a map to see how close we are to each other but I don't know what PPR stands for. Can you spell it out and I will see if I can find it on the map. :-)

I know $200 isn't too bad but the dress is sooooooo simple not at all traditional---strapless, no frills beads, no waistline and it was only $400.......lol......got to love it!  Looks like it just needed a small hem when I bought it, UNTIL WE (sister and I) put me under a microscope!!!  LOL.....only go down this road once right!

Oh and PS....an $80 slip because I felt like it was see thru!  You are so right that it could be worse....at least it fits.....wouldv'e start fresh!!!  Nothing is going to de-rail me know.......WE ARE ON THE HOME STRETCH!!!!!
