I wanted to gain at least 10 of the 15 pounds that I lost and I have done just that! So now I just have to maintain it.

Oh I just finished my monogram that I've been working on FOREVER!! Here it is:

knacarato - That's great you are getting your weight to where you want it to be. How much weight do you want to gain?

I was absent for the last couple of weeks because FI and I found out that he has a daughter and the lady never told him until now. So 3 weeks from what is supposed to be the happiest day of my life, I find out that I am also going to be a stepmother next month. The baby is young and I know it will be tough but so far we are just in shock and have been in and out of court a couple of times. It's a rough time for me but I am happy to still try and focus on my wedding and we'll see what the rest of my life holds.

Inspite of that, I really missed you ladies and am looking forward to your happy stories and stress jokes to get me through this trying time.

I have posted some of my progress on my wedding website if you all want to check it out.

Wow!!! Congrats on gaining the weight. (this sounds kind weird since everyone is trying to lose weight). I have my last dress fitting this weekend. We are leaving Oct 6 so I have two more weeks to go. I am sooo excited!!!

Wow that really sux. But thats good that  you are being positive and focusing on your big day. We definitely have missed you on the forum- you are usually on here every day like I am so I was worried about you. Other than that it sounds like you are doing pretty good. I can't believe you only have 21 days. That is ridiculous. I am so excited for you. BTW- the little sand ceremony book you made is super cute!

Well I gained another 3 pounds so I am going to fit in my dress!!- a week with the in-laws is a sure recipe for weight gain!

Printed out all my checklists and forms today for packing, photography, and emergency contact stuff. My planning binder is getting really thick.

Hi everyone, I've not posted on here for a long while either, been stuck at work and traveling, not been able to organize or even think about wedding plans for about 7 weeks! I now have 4 weeks and 1 day to go till we get married at Now Jade Cancun in mexico.

Amandamarieb, I wouldn't worry about the weather, apparently it always says it will rain and sometimes its a quick shower in a local area so think you should be fine.

I'm in panic mode as I still haven't quite booked a guitarist for our ceremony as the one which we thought we would use hasn't been able to give us any samples! Also, the videographer hasn't been able to send a sample so I'm really worried, would appreciate any help or suggestions for either near Riviera Maya Mexico.

I'm also stuck on entertainment for the cocktail hour - can't really afford extra musicians for the cocktail hour as well as the ceremony, any other suggestion as to what could happen there?

I'm also emigrating to the USA from the UK in 2 weeks time, so on top of the wedding plans I also have the move to organize.

help! am a little overwhelmed to say the least.

One good thing, just had my hen and leaving party and everyone says it was the best ever... now, onto the most important stuff.. x

happy almos weddings! I never post on this particular thread but thought I would check it out. A lot of the girls on my usual thread (Azul Sensatori) have either gotten married or are so many months behind me, they don't seem to have any answers to my questions. The exception, of course, is Chong who is getting married at the same resort on the same day! :)

So, for those brides getting married in Mexico. Is anyone freaking out about the weather? Not that I needed to add another thing to my "worry list" but I've just done it. I looked up the current weather there and seems to have been raining on T-storms for days and days now with days and days of more rain predicted. Ugghh. I am so worried. Gonna try and let it go but was just wondering if anyone could say something that would help me let it go. :)

Also, for those getting married in the beginning/middle of October, what's left on your to-do list?

THANKS! And happy wedding planning.

Amanda

i have 19 days to go -

• still haven't booked a guitarist

• wish fire dancers were cheaper

• trying to justify buying some christian louboutins except that would pay for guitarist AND Fire dancers lol

• second dress fitting next week (nervous)

• fi's family are creating additional expense since he now has to fly them out AND pay for accomodations - they haven't booked tickets yet! so it's now another 2000!!  (that would have paid for my fire dancers, guitarist, AND louboutins! lol)

but some highlights have been:

-toning up nicely on day 27 of p90x

-started putting the fan favors together with my friend - we are almost halfway done (only need to do 36 but i'm painting the fans)

-bought veil

-received totes for OOT bags - now need to get some iron on transfer paper

-bought paper for menu cards & programs.

can we bring in things like sunscreen and tylenol packets (placing in OOT bag) into mexico?

Hi Eunice!  Looks like we are on the same boat....I have my dress fitting on Sunday, yikes!   I'm scared I'm going to get it altered and then it will be messed up, and I'll be screwed before the wedding, but I'm prob being paranoid. haha.

You can bring tylenol & sunscreen etc...I got tylenol & alka seltzer for everyone and packing it all in my luggage for the OOTs.  You just can't bring food or "natural" things...like shells, plants etc.

So this is kinda like my last weekend to get wedding stuff done...  Tomorrow I pack and head to CA for the week.  FI has teeth (never thought this would be a concern but it quickly became the most pressing problem).  Today I picked up my wedding dress, the tailor did a great job converting the zipper to a corset back (with fuschia ribbon, no less)--I love my dress even more.  We scrambled and found one more mp3 player for our last minute guest.  So on Sat pm FI and I are going thru our ipods looking for music to load on for our guests players.  I quickly became a huge fan of Pandora tonight, great for some reggae additions.

I cant believe the wedding is in 15 days!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
