October 2010 Brides?

Uh I also have a 1,000 things to do before the wedding. It seems like I just have so much to do till the wedding and not enough time to do it. And I have so much stress from that and from other people about the AHR.

All this stress caused me to gain 3 pounds last week (I am trying to LOSE weight!) and my dress now doesn't fit…… again. And I have a fitting on Thursday. I am going to be so embarrassed when I go to my fitting and the dress doesn't zipper up. Why can’t I be one of those women that don’t eat and lose weight when they are stressed???

Well, I finally got my dress and I am absolutely in love with it. Passports should be here next week. Still havent decided what to do with my hair but oh well. So all that is left is the bands (already picked online just have to go pick them up) in 2 weeks and a cake topper....and the other 987,973,194,287,309 things I am forgetting!

Happy planning!!

I am so with you all... there are just too many things to do before the wedding. I cannot wait till the planning is over and start partying!!!

I have my dress fitting at the end of the month. I am very excited :) Don't worry about 2-3 lbs... you will look beautiful!!!

I am also trying to figure out my hair... just too many things to do and I am not paying attention to anything that's remotely boring. Ahh... I need to be motivated.

CJ, you look stunning!!!

HI OCTOBER BRIDES!!! I have been living under a rock for a month. Trying to work my butt off so I can take some vacation time next weekend. BC here we come!

So I have been reading a few of your posts and everyone seems really overwhelmed with stuff to do..... I think I'm missing something LOL I haven't been going crazy at all and that's whats worrying me. I have an "it'll all work out" attitude which might actually get me into trouble come October. WHat's everyone been busy doing?

Ugh I have these darn bags to worry about!! I want to just stuff them full but FI doesn't want to break the budget. Then there's getting everything down there. YIKES! I have my 2nd fitting on my real dress tomorrow. Next week I'm going home for a week (Huge YAY) to do invitations, get my TTD altered and have my shower/bach party. I think after that it will feel more real.

Wow, October is coming FAST FAST FAST!!!!!

You ladies who are stressing about your weight. Eat protein at EVERY meal/snack and try to cut the carbs at night. I'm not an advocate for low-carb but I'm speaking from experience. Spend some more time on the weights and you can cut down on cardio. I have all sorts of tips for the week leading up to the big day if any of you want any. A lot of it is cutting that last water weight and not looking bloated (I know this from figure/fitness competitions).

Ready or not it's coming soon! :)

Wow. I never thought I would ever ever say this but I wish I would gain some weight. I don't know what happened.... I've lost 15 pounds in the last couple weeks.... I haven't been dieting or anything and I stopped working out (P90X) a while ago! I found out yesterday when I went to the doctor for a check up. I thought the scale was broken. I made her take my weight on another scale I couldn't believe it. MY DRESS IS GI-NORMOUS... it keeps slipping down. When I got it it was less than 1/2 inch too big in waist. Now I can't keep it up. I'm gonna need some major boob implants or something to even keep it up.

So much for my hopes of having an inexpensive alteration bill. Anyone have some tips? I want to gain some weight but not overgain.

Other than this fiasco- I've been shopping for the groom's outfit. Found a really cool beachy shirt... now I just have to find some khaki pants that match. Also have been watching lots of tutorials on Youtube on how to fix hair and do makeup as I will be doing this myself on D-Day. I highly recommend this as it gives you an idea of the different hairstyles and makeup options that are out there.

CJ- love love love the dress. You look so gorgeous in it! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
