This is really amazing. Congrats on getting it done. By any chance do you have a template that you'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance!

They only had a few chiffon flowy dresses so I decided to try them all one. Well turns out I loved one that I never would have imagined I would have liked. THe best part, it was 75% off of $450, so with taxes I paid only $120 for a TTD I love.
I'm sorry but can you please help me understand what TTD is?

Thx!

Welcome to the October 2010 thread Bride Loving CJ!

TTD is my dress for the trash the dress. We are going to do a photo session the day after the wedding on the beach and in the water so I wanted a second inexpensive dress for that as my wedding dress is silk and I didn't want to wear it in the water.

Ok ladies, we are at the 3 month mark! I'm having a bit of anxiety on packing. I'm now starting to buy the OOT bag items and still need to buy chair bows, table runners and I also got a crystal curtain for the ceremony but now I'm starting to wonder how I am going to pack it all and then am I going to have to lug it with me on my honeymoon?? I was originally thinking of not packing the "extras" in a suitcase because then I'll have to lug around a half empty suitcase and instead putting it in some kind of box and I can toss in MX. What are you ladies doing?

Months ago I put out the word to friends and family that I need old suitcases for the trip. I've got 2 so far. I plan on paying the extra bag charge and leaving the suitcases down there. May send one home with my sister if I want to bring back any of my decorations or things. Hoping for one more donated suitcase or I'll buy a real cheap one at the Goodwill or something!

That's a great idea! I'm planning on just checking the boxes on the plane. My mugs will come in a huge cardboard box so I'm just leaving them as is and checking them. I'm taking decorations I can part with, so I'm leaving all the stuff down there that I can. We're doing directly to our honeymoon as well so I don't want to take that stuff with me.

TTD: Trash the Dress. For destination brides this involves getting in the ocean, ancient ruins, cenotes, all the fun places with your dress on and taking AMAZING pictures. :)

Thanks for explaining! That is a great idea. I have not purchased my dress yet but I will have to buy one fore the destination ceremony and another for the reception at home so I probably won't do a TTD shoot. But I'm you will have amazing pictures as that sounds like a load of fun!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
