October 2010 Brides?

Runningbride, we are scheduled for 4:30 pm. My WC was suggesting we book for 5:30 as she said that would be a perfect time. We picked 4:30 because we wanted to maximize our reception as we only have until 10:30 for the reception. Is your photographer local to Mexico? If so, he would be a good person to ask for a recommendation.

We are getting married at 5:30 at the recommendation of our WC. Sunset is at 6:18 on our wedding day and the ceremony will last about 20 minutes. We have been told that is the best time to take pictures after the ceremony since we will be taking them during sunset.

Oh October brides! I love listening to all your wedding preps. You are all wayyyy more organized than me. I end up leaving this thread freaking out that I'm 4 months behind everyone!

Before we knew it Wendyjd and I are going to be like "oh s**t we're getting married next week!!!" hehe

no kidding, my big accomplishment was finally booking our trip (and getting my band).

Do you have pics of your new dress? I wanna see.

I wanted 10-10-10 as well! But our hotel don't carry out weddings on Sunday's, so we went for 5-10-10 or 10-05-10 depending on where your from! Nice easy date for the FI to remember anniversary's!

Eunice, welcome to the slackers club with Mayanlily and myself, jk. Get on your dress and invites (unless you already did std's then you have some more time). Congrats on getting your date secured and the upcoming wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
