First I must say thanks to the lovely ladies who made my destination wedding possible. Without your inspiration this would not be possible. I'm sorry it took so long but my son is not giving me a chance to do anything on the computer..

When I first thought about this destination wedding I had no idea what to do and who to contact, I’m not even sure how I found this site but the Lord knows best and he led me to this lovely site of beautiful ladies who were so willing to share information.

After eliminating Jamaica from my list, because I would have too much family and friends to invite I set my heart to Dominican republic. I do not speak Spanish but it seem beautiful and the ladies here seem the world of it.

My save the date: My friend at work and I made it at vista prints.

Invitation: I loved the idea of the passport but the boarding pass seem easier and was just as nice. I did love one a boardites made but was not able to use her template since it was save into a different program.

Rings: I did not bother to get an engagement ring since we did not get one from the time he had asked me. So we went to Ultra Diamond. My ring was $1600. On sale his was $300.00 @80% off the say. We will be getting new ones for him in 5yrs.

Dress: I had not have an inspiration for the dress all I know I was going to Filenes running of the bride to get my dress. The ticket said $8000.00 I got it for $499.00. We got there about 2am and there was only 6 people inline. I went with five other helpers, we got so much dress to try on it was crazy, but FUN FUN FUN.

Suit: We got the DH suit at Ramanie’s in the Manchester mall $149.00. All the men’s pants came from there also $49.00.. IF you are getting married in the summer do not worry about finding linen. There was so much all over I had panic when I went out and could not find any in March by July there was so much at the stores.

Ladies Dress: These came from My lady in Hartford. Only $69.00

Men’s Shirt: Island importer

Bags: got those at oriental trading. At first they seem too little but the size was just right.

Shoe: His sandals came from Aldo

My shoe came from DSW

Jewelry: I found luck in TJ max. I was so lucky to find this starfish set.. LOOOVE IT!!

Favors: I got favors from pricewise. I got favors for our bachelorette party also could not help myself.

I use the cake from the hotel. My rum cake from the USA could not withstand the heat.

Hair: I just wanted a up do with a birdcage veil. Bought birdcage veil @ Davids bridals $24.00

I'm unable to upload pics so here we go..(my pics are saves in the wrong file)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
