Thanks Jackobelle! I don't have any recommendations personally but there are alot of realtouch companies that other girls used if you do a search under this flower section. After all of the drama and unneccesary stress that chick caused me, I would recommend just spending a little more to have some piece of mind, and get the real flowers when you get to Cuba. It is less luggage to pack as well!

They matched my MOH's dress better than what the Bittersweet ones would have! I still ordered all of the items I originally wanted and was very pleased! I returned home to a UPS note on my door saying they attempted to deliver the Bittersweet package. It had a note that COD was due in the amount of $22.26. Is this chick crazy! I had paid her in full! Whatever! That package can rot at UPS until they send it back to her. I am not going to pick it up b/c I will not be responsible for that COD or the return postage. I recieved the refund of the final payment from my credit card company. I filed a complaint with the BBB to get my down payment back. I will keep u updated!!!
I'm glad to hear it all worked out for you! I can't wait to see pictures!

OK ladies here is an update on this never ending saga. I wish I could say that I have reached a resolution and forgotten that I ever heard of Bittersweet, but it doesn't seem that is in the cards.

Today I received a bill from UPS for the $26 customs fee that the package was charged with for crossing the border. I called them to remind them of the situation and that I requested that UPS return the package well over two weeks ago. Well, it seems that in order for UPS to return a package to a shipper, they have to receive acceptance from the shipper. They have made multiple attempts to contact Bittersweet but have not gotten through to get approval. So the package is sitting in the UPS distribution center.

So I attempted to call them to tell them to accept the package so I can reach a resolution. Well, their voicemail box is full. I think I remember Blackrose222 saying it was full a week ago. What kind of business doesn't check their voicemailshuh.gif Yet another warning sign!!! So I sent an email which I doubt will be answered. It seems I am going to have to take legal action to get my money back. What a pain in my butt that I really don't need! My wedding was beautiful and perfect... then I have to come back and deal with this crap!

Ladies you have been warned!!! I hope that these posts will prevent someone else from going through this BS!

Yep, full mailbox - for over a month now! As October 1 came and past (and so did my engagement photos, without my flowers... they still looked great, but not what I wanted) - this weekend I sent over 4 emails to Crystal, all of which have gone unreturned. Well, on Sunday I had had enough. I sent her an ultimatum email (which I've never had to do before, and I really wish I hadn't had to go this far). If I don't hear from her by Thursday afternoon, then I'm going to assume that this relationship is over - and I'm going to agressively start steps to get my money back. I just don't think she has left me any other choice.

I agree with Scott-Pierre! Please DO NOT use this company! If it comes around to everything working out, this has been so tainted for me - that no matter what happens, it isn't worth it.

Blackrose222-

This is so crazy! She is purposely ignoring us so that way she doesn't have to deal with us and possibly refund our money. Legal action is looking like the only option at this point. Please file a complaint with the BBB so that other people that aren't on this forum can become aware of these issues.

Good idea, but how do you check the BBB to see if there are complaints against a company?

If you go to the BBB website, it will show you how many complaints have been made against the company. It won't give you specifics on the complaints, just a general heading such as "customer service" or "refunds" to give you an idea of why the complaints were made. It also gives the company a rating from A+ to F, right now Bittersweet has a D-. I wish I would have found this site when I was researching vendors.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
