Married and back from RPTB!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

Just returned from our wedding in Negril, Jamaica at the RPTB. It was amazing and couldn't have asked for a better wedding/trip. I will break down my review as best as possible to help any future RPTB brides!

Drive there: No doubt it is scary, rough, and way longer than they say. Expect at least to be on the van for 2 hours and will make a "PIT stop" on the way for travellers that want a buzz! ;0(

Resort: Amazing! Check in - Easy! Check out the same way! Staff is wonderful. 24 hour room service, liquour dispenser in your room...restocked daily. A/C not all that cool in our room and we had cold water one night. Besides that though the rooms were very spacious and very clean. 2 Gift shops at the resort and vendors will come in every other night with really cool items.

Food/Drinks: Food at the buffet good, food at the speciality restaurants AMAZING. I ate at all of them minus Krystal. LOVED them all! Drinks were always great! I pretty tried them all! Some were def strong too! Jerk Chicken Hut never made it there but one of my guests did and I tasted it very yummy!

Entertainment: During the day there was water aerboics and volleyball. Looked fun didn't try it. Some of my friends did and they loved it! Nightly entertainment was alright - nothing too fantastic but good to do for something at night. Def not any great entertainment after the show ends, but I was so tired each night I was in bed by 11 anyway.

Wedding Coordinator: Keneika was amazing! Not a bad thing to say about her! She was on top of her game!

Wedding Ceremony: Mine was held at one of the Gazebos and it was HOT HOT HOT! The officant was great! They screwed up my music for a brief second and then got it fixed. After the ceremony we went to the beach for pics. Not nearly as private but ALOT cooler!

Reception: We had ours in the steakhouse it was my group and another wedding group in there! Which was nice! Our cake was cute we brought our own cake topper though bc we didnt want our names on the cake! The food was amazing too!

If you have any other questions please PM me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
