As I browse around, I find it incredible how many people are here to help other people and I am amazed..This is a wonderful place to be and I am so happy to be part of it..

 

A little bit of information on us...We live in Ontario, Canada and I met the love of my life approximately 3 years ago online after coming out of a hard relationship..I was not looking for love and nor was he but thankfully we found each other...

 

A year after dating, we bought a home together and moved in (both previous owned our own by ourselves), 6 months later, he proposed..We have both been previously married (but they don't count) and we have always wanted a destination wedding on the beach with the waves coming in...

 

We have booked our wedding at Couples, Swept Away in Jamaica for September 3rd, 2007. We leave August 31, and return September 11th. ...WE are super excited!! Oh yeah, although our families know we are getting married, we have opted not to invite anyone, so its kind of an elopment without the surprise..smile43.gif

 

I have been planning this wedding for over a year and have done tons of reasearch on many different resorts both in Jamaica and Carribean so although we are close to 2.5 months away, I would be more than happy to help anyone else, its a give and take, I have been fortunate enough to belong to other forums that have helped me so much and I hope to be able to give this back to someone else..

 

I am sure there are still lots of things I will have to finalize and will appreciate as much help as well...So with that said, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a wonderful community forum, I look forward in meeting many of you and helping you any way I can...

Well, welcome Trista! It sonds like you have pretty much everything set to have a great wedding in Jamaica! that's so exciting... and it's so soon too!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
