Congratulations on figuring out what your doing for a photographer! Doesn't it feel good to have a major item crossed off your list and not have to worry about it anymore? :)

You're less than 2 months away!! I can't wait to see your pics when you get back and hear all about the resort!

What is your friend charging you for the photos? I am just trying to get an idea of what this is going to cost...so, you are paying $1200 + the cost of photos? Are you going to be looking at paying over $2000 for your wedding photos then? If we fly & pay for hotel stay for our photographer...it'd be a little over $1500 JUST to have her there...this wouldn't be counting the cost of taking the photos (not sure if she would even charge for that?) and the costs of editing the work...since she just gives her customers CDs w/ all the photos once she's finished editing.

Good for you that you no loner have to stress about it! I am still going through what you just went through w/ this photo crap! haha! I have honestly been getting migraines EVERY day for the past 3 days now (sigh).

What a stress relief for you!! Congrats! I thought having a DW was supposed to be so much more stress free than planning one at home - HA HA!
Too bad your friend wasn't coming on Wednesday & I would split the cost with you.

Has anyone been able to find other people's pics online? I have only found just a couple & they didn't help me too much. If so will you post the links here?

This is something that I have been struggling with also. Not only do we want great pics but we also want a lot of them to capture the entire wedding and reception. We also want video of everything too. At this point we are considering flying in a photographer and/or videographer but of course we are concerned about costs. I am also considering finding someone from jamaica and just pay for the 3 nights but I am not sure if this will be allowed. Ugh...this is so stressful!!!

We just got back from our wedding & the photographer & videographer were both excellent! They know exactly what they are doing! Nicola (photographer) & Vevan (videographer) were fantastic! They are such wonderful people & they are dedicated to capturing every moment. They will do whatever you want as well as make suggestions along the way. I could not have asked for a better photographer & videographer! Request them & you are sure to get beautiful memories. We choose the Tropical Passion Package $1800 & then bought all our photos (over 300) for $2000. The photo album is very nice & comes in a box as well as the video. They actually stayed over our time limit to finish capturing our reception. Our whole group felt at ease with both Nicola & Vevan and throughout the rest of our stay they both remembered us by name as well as our family. They made our experience very personal. I was worried about the photo’s before we left, but there was nothing to worry about with these two.

Welcome back :) I'm so glad to hear that you were able to capture the pictures you wanted! The photography definitely seems to be one of the major stress points with Beaches/Sandals brides, so you have to be so relieved that everything exceeded your expectations. I can't wait to see your pictures!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
