Just can't decide.. suggestions?

Hello Everyone,

 

So I thought I was decided on the Barcelo Solymar. But now I am starting to second guess myself and I would really like to make a decision soon. I am considering the following other resorts:

 

Barcelo Marina Palace- looks like a beautiful spot.. however having trouble finding pictures of the wedding gazebo and things like that. As well as the wedding package details that I see listed in another thread.

 

Melia Varadero- looks absolutely beautiful but I heard that the beach isnt that great!

 

Blau Varadero- this resort also looks very nice and is very well rated but can not find anything about wedding packages??

 

Does anyone have anymore info on any of these resorts? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.. I need help from you ladies for making a decision :)

Hey jules, I'm actually getting married on April 15, 2010 at Barcelo Marina Palace. I loved their wedding package - the fact that they had live music and they will accommodate any # of wedding guests. Also, the wedding planner on the resort is fabulous....if you would like her email, please let me know. As well I was lucky enough to chat with Amy - Miss Amerilla - on the site here, who was married at BMP in January and she was a wealth of info...hope that helps!

pensfan- do they have a wedding gazebo at barcelo marina palace?

 

I was looking at Melia today actually and starting to lean towards that more, but liked the looks of Barcelo Marina Palace if I knew what the wedding locations were.. do you have a link to the detailed wedding packages?

Hey JulesnPhil,

 

We are most likely gonna be married at the Melia Varadero next May. It was a super hard decision (totally know what you are going through) but after months of going back and forth that one seems to be the winner. I have a bunch of info and pictures I can send you if you want just msg me with your email. They have a really great wedding package and if you have over 17 guests it's free (huge bonus!)

The wedding coordinator is Joyma and she has been so helpful at answering my million and one questions and always responds to my emails within a day or two. The wedding gazebo they have is beyond gorgeous and it over looks the ocean.

Do you have the e-mail for the wedding coordinator down there that you could give me? and what about the resort photographer are you going to go with them? Also were you in contact with melissa at all? the rep in Canada? I e-mailed her yesterday and waiting to here a response!

You can try contacting Sunquest. If I remember, they had some info on their website.
I just enjoyed Blau more,with better food and service.

If you have a bit more to spend, go to Paradisus hotels. Those are even better.

There is TONS of info on the forum regarding the Barcelo Marina Palace. I can offer OODLES of pictures and information about the resort. I also visited the Solymar on an occasion, and can speak a little to that resort. Please post your questions!

If you are looking to find the wedding package on the internet, you won't --- you will find it attached. I received this from the wedding coordinator via email.

The prices may have changed.... If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
