Thanks Amy,

I Just emailed the spa for appointments too, so hopefully it isn't too full. I will do hair and makeup although i am nervous for both :S I am thinking i will bring my own make up for her to use to keep it natural. I haven't seen to many brides at DT without an "updo" from the stylist and i will be leaving my hair down so i hope they are good with hair :)

Wow it is coming up so fast ladies, i am getting so excited!

Hola!

Amymarie - I wouldn't worry about the hair stylists at the resort, when I e-mailed Jana she assured me that they are "true professionals". haha. You'll look gorgeous I'm sure. Bring pictures of exactly what you want is the best advice I can think of. Wow living in Germany....that must have been an amazing experience!! Lucky girl.

AHHHH I AM SO EXCITED!!!! We are getting so so so close. I am finishing up my degree on April 15th and driving to Vancouver that night to head 'across the line' to go shopping for my birthday :) (across the line = Bellingham for me). Stoked to get some more wedding week/honeymoon clothes. Of course hitting up Target too. Now that school is coming to an end I finally have the time to start getting on the details for the wedding....I'll be on here a lot more! WAHOO! I have lists upon lists of ideas, needs, to dos, and diy projects...I'm stressed but so excited to work everything out without school on the mind.

THE Dreams Tulum thread is not working for me lately. Anyone else having problems getting to that thread??

Any May 28th brides out there? I too have not seen anyone with the same date.

Anyways, just thought I would come and say hello. Good luck with the planning ladies cheesy.gif

NicoRuskies - I will be in Vancouver the 14th-20th! (Telus Ski Fest) Assuming my fiance's stepdad makes it through the next week or two, but if not, we will be making a trip to Va instead. Family first.

If you want to catch up or need a sidekick Thurs. let me know aas I will be on my own (fiance will still be working Thurs. but off Friday- I know some of the other Vancouver brides/brides to be are trying to get together for some drinks then too, so email me at dk@sc.rr.com if you would like to join us!) TTYS!

I can't believe how close we all are!!! SOOOO excited and nervous, antsy, crazy, etc....all of the emotions out there, are kicked up right now!! :-D

Hi Girls! I am not marrying in May but I am a Dreams Tulum bride. I have been snooping through this thread to see what plans you all have. I am so excited that your dates are coming up soon. I hope that you will all post reviews with pictures. I have seen a few of you mention you are working on centerpiece ideas. Anyone come up with anything yet? I am so stuck in this area.

Hi L&A! When is your wedding scheduled?

I found my inspiration for the reception dinner table by searching through reviews on this site. I looked at every review with photos! I'm going stres free... I am buying arrangements and petals through the resort. I don't want to haul everything down there. The only thing I am bringing is a box of 6 candle holders...the resort charges $18 per candle holder, a little steep. If I figure out how to attach the inspiration photo, I will.

Hi Amy

My wedding isn't until Nov. I am also wanting to go as stress free as possible, but I also want to keep costs down and think it may get pretty pricey to do flower arrangements on each table (I'll probably have 6 tables and knowing myself I will like the centerpieces that are $95 each) so I am trying to come up with an alternative that still looks great. I heard it can be pretty breezy by the pools for the reception so petals may be gone as soon as they are put out. I am not very crafty so I am a little hesitant to try any DIY projects since that will be focal point for each table. Let me know which centerpiece you choose and what the resort charges if you don't mind. Knowing that the $45 option looks great would be a load off.

Hi girls! Oceanwonderland posed this question on the original DT thread, but since your dates are coming up I thought I would mention it here too. Are any of you going to try and use the $20 menu option that was available in the past to brides? If so, will you PLEASE come back and post so that we know if it is something that future brides might have a glimmering hope of pushing for themselves? Thanks!

Hello Ladies...

L&A2010 - No I'm not going to try and get that price. I don't have any extra guests outside of the wedding package. The way I see it is that prices change and that could have been a special circumstance. Awhile ago I read a post where a bride asked everyone to stop trying to get the deals she did because it was bothering the wedding coordinators. My assumption was that the coordinators must have e-mailed her asking her to say something! If your guests haven't paid, you could always add on $50 to their package to pay for dinner? My travel agent suggested that to us but we didn't have to do it. She said that she would collect the money (not tell them) and we could put it towards the dinner.

I got my welcome bag tags done yesterday! Also started my guest book, which is scrapbook style. Hoping to get more of it done today. Ironing on the bridesmaid bling on the dresses I bought and just figured out the transfers to the honeymoon resort and back to the hotel!!! WAHOO things are coming together! Hope everyone's planning is still going well.

AmyandRich - I'm trying to get to that 'stress free' mentality for when we travel down. I feel like I am prepared but just need to get a lot of small projects done :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
