Okay Ladies...Ceremony chair decor

Another idea would be to drape leis over the chairs. I'm contemplating doing this with chair ties.

In lieu of using chair covers, compare the price of the standard chairs with that of bamboo chairs. If you do this, you could add your chair ties, leis or whatever decoration you like. By "upgrading" your chairs, you may not have to spend as much money on other decorations.

Personally, I am using bamboo chairs because it adds to the natural ambiance of the beach.

Hope this helps some brides-to-be!  :)

Btw, does anyone have any ideas for the petals to throw besides the petal cones?!

I need to stay off this site!!! I was just going to do the regular chair sashes...but I love the ruffles! did a little searching and found a design in my theme- peacock :)

I think just cutting the fabric in a spiral will create the ruffled look.  then just gather them and im thinking fix them all together with a fabric flower?  This will be my next DIY

Im using this tutorial for my ruffles:

http://harlowandthistle.blogspot.no/2012/08/diy-wedding-chair-covers.html

Im using silk chiffon, but mine is a bit tricky... I'm ombre dyeing the ruffles, so that they will be royal blue at the bottom, and then gradually lighter and lighter. The top will end in an ivory color, and so will the cover of the chair back. This is my biggest DIY project, but i tink it will be amazing when it is done!

Mine will probably be a bit fuller than the ones on the tutorial. I'll be using closer to 20 of the ruffles per chair, and they will be floor length. Tried some out today with some old fabric, and it's a lot of work... I'm getting started as soon as I get the fabric and dye that I ordered!

That sounds great! I can't wait to see pictures of your final product. I'm so not crafty but I love the ruffle chair covers so I might have to attempt it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
