Hey Ladies,

I definitely believe you need a good balance between eating healthy and exercise. There are certain types of exercise that will help you lose more fat, compared to certain exercises that will help with cardio health. Circuit training that includes plyometrics is incredible for both! Great for losing the pounds and toning the muscles!! A good PT can set up a great circuit in one session...and then you just have to follow it, and increase the amount of times you do it as you start to feel healthier!

I saw that article. I am not good about picking a time to "exercise" because I am soooo busy everyday. When I feel like my jeans are getting tight, I do what has always worked for me, I eat less food. I try to use common sense about junk food and desserts, which I love, but I won't make myself a rule that I can't have any because that never works. I just tell myself to eat less. simple.

I'm no expert here but I think the statement about exercise alone not promoting weight loss isn't to say that it doesn't help. Usually after a big workout people tend to go home & kind of binge eat because their bodies feel fatigued after working so hard & there is a need to refuel. The mistake most people make is going home & eating WAY too much (even if it is healthier food choices) OR people "treat" themselves by eating foods that aren't so healthy.

The key to losing weight by working out is to burn more calories than you consume. If you consume, let's just say 2000 calories in one day, but you only do a workout that burns 1000...then, no, you're not going to experience any weight loss--it's impossible! "Dieting" or "watching what you eat" PLUS exercise will definitely help you shed the lbs. but ONLY if you are burning more than you consume!

I believe that eating junk food & exercising isn't going to help anyone lose weight. Exercise improves mood & I think when we feel better emotionally, we tend to eat better, feel better physically, and have more energy...all of those things combined plus a healthy diet will absolutely help a person shed weight. BUT you can't just do weight training...you can do all the sit-ups you want but you won't see those ab muscles unless you work in some cardio to your weekly schedule...cardio helps burn off stored fat.

I hope this helps...and makes sense! haha

But you also have to include in the calories in and calories out theory that everyone's basal metabloic rate is different. So say my basal metabolic rate is 1500 cals/day and I only eat 100 cals/day then I would still be burning 500 cals a day by doing nothing. I'm just pointing out that most people aren't going to exercise 1000 + calories every single day and basal metabolic rates (the rate at which a body burns calories at rest) is part of the equation too. I agree with the rest of what you said though! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
