How is everyone already busy a year away?

Did anyone else have this problem?

We have not picked a location or a date, just aiming for the Caribbean some time between spring and fall semesters next year.

Working backward, late August, my fiance goes back to school. Early and mid August are out for my family because of religious holidays (they are observant, no getting around it). Today my FMIL calls me in a panic saying her husband, my FFIL, cannot do any of June or July, and my FSIL's graduation is mid-May.

What's a DW couple to do?? How much censored.gif lead time can you give people?? How is a year not enough?

We did a year notice and there are people that have other obligations but its ur day just book it and if someone cant make it oh well. People can change plans and thats rediculous that they cant do anything next year for 2 months straight. Just pick ur time thats convient for you or else youll never get married. I went through the same thing and just booked to have the wedding or else we wouldnt of gotten married with everyones suggestions and all. Keep ur head up it will work out

setting a date is SOOO stressful. You will NEVER find a perfect date that works for everyone. It's a shame but just find a general few weeks most people can work with and narrow it down from there. The more time you give the better.

Good luck!

People will still flake out on your DW even if you gave them 10 years in advance. Do what you and FI want and if people really want to go and they can, they will. I'd still be trying to figure out what month/day/year to get hitched if I listened to my friends/family. Just my two cents.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
