Kathy - those are great tips and I did learn them and plan on using them from now on. The only thing I really had a problem with was the DQ. It just totally upset my stomach, probably because it was too sweet or maybe because of all the dairy in it. I usually don't do salty foods, so I didn't really notice any difference with that.

The FI and I decided that we would only eat 1 or 2 things we're craving on cheat day. Not like the day we just had. Maybe order your fav pizza for dinner but eat normal meals for the rest of the day. I dunno, I think I'm going to try that this cheat day.
on cheat day maybe try to still eat the 6 meals -- by the fact that you're eating 6 meals, they all will be smaller? I am going to try it and let you know how it goes.. (in 12 more days)....

but great job on the diet so far!! and...just think , only 6 days to your next cheat day..lol

i think that's a great idea and the logic is sound! besides, it's always better for your metabolism (no matter whether it's healthy food or junk) to eat several small meals than to starve all day for one big pigout.

I don't actually mind the protein shakes. I always use Optimum Nutrition brand. FI is also big into the shakes so we have a few different flavours kicking around. Some days I will mix a scoop of protein (usually the double chocolate) with a small amount of cream, water, and 4-5 ice cubes. Throw it all in a blender. Makes it like a protein slurpee and the cream makes it taste much better :)

You couldn't really use this as the night time protein shake, but I have had it for breakfast when in a hurry.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
