I've got a couple of fitness fanatics in my class, so I asked them today about protein shakes, and they both agreed that "Designer Whey" tastes good, best protein powder they've found, and it's about $35 for 40 servings.

Per 1 scoop: (1-3 scoops per serving)

18g protein

1 g fat

2g carbs

90 calories

Here's a website: Next Proteins™ Designer Whey® - Strawberry - NEXT PROTEINS - GNC

Oh, and apparently Muscle Milk is really good too (and around the same price :) ) I haven't tried either of these yet, but I plan to very soon cheesy.gif

I *think* that muscle milk has lots more fat though (which might explain why it tastes so good...lol

So the FI and I were going to see a movie tonight but decided against it because of the smell of the popcorn! He wanted me to bring a bag of veggies so that we can snack on during the movie. lol We'll wait until saturday (our 1st cheat day!!!!!) to see a movie so that I can have my popcorn! cheesy.gif

Kathy - you've been doing this for a little while. I'm concerned about the cheat day thing. What if I get a taste of whatever it is that I haven't had in awhile and then just go all crazy and can't get back on the diet?! Did you have a hard time following after your cheat day??

Good question! This is something I've been concerned about too, because I know I fall off the wagon quite a bit!

This is why I stopped eating ice cream! I couldn't stop! The next day I would be like, "oh just a little ice cream won't hurt!"

Also, ice cream is usually something you would still have left over in your freezer so its more tempting, if you did ice cream you would have to throw out any extra left over after your cheat day. So the tempting foods aren't in your house later in the week. I try not to keep the stuff I love on hand. It is easier that way.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
