I finally got a response from Appleton Estates regarding my request for prices for small bottles (not one shot bottles) of Appleton Rum VX. I want these small bottles to use as favors for my guests.

Here is what was quoted:

The case price for the miniature bottle of Appleton Estate VX is JA$16,929 for a case of 120. The next size up is a 200ml and the case price is $6,070 for a case of 24.

We will happily deliver given enough notice.

I did a currency conversion and it looks like the 120 miniature bottles of rum come out to $191.29 US currency. And the small bottles of 200ml comes to $65.59 US. For the 200ml bottles that comes out to $2.74 each, not bad!

Not only do I not need to worry about lugging around favors but they will deliver! Those 200ml bottles are a decent size, not too big, not too small. All I have to work on is the tags for the bottles.

I really wanted a favor that guest would use. And knowing my friends, these bottles won't make it from the reception!

Hopes this helps.

You all may want to think about sending your favors ahead of you via a carrier. Habe your wedding planner there to receive them and hold them until you get there. We are going to be using custom made bamboo fans that will have wedding color ribbons around the looped handles and personalized ribbon hanging down. I also create cds and other personalized items, therefore I am making wedding cds with our faces on the front etched in them. We will also be doing personalized shot glasses and coasters.

you can actually but the magnets already preforated and you can use software and edit your saying and other things on them. Try somewhere like walmart or an office supply store. This way you can make several different pics on your magnets that you like.

We are getting married in Mexico and are concerned about the carrying of extra bagage weight. Let's face it they don't give you much room to bring anything extra.

We have done they drawstring tote bags 13 x 18 imprinted with our resort name and the word Riviera Maya over a palm tree. Under palm tree is our wedding date and in the bottom corner Mark & Sue our names. I have not received them yet however the costed only $4.00 per bag. If figured it was great for carry a book, sunscreen and camera. This is the website:

Good Luck and happy stress free planning.

I saw a cute idea, a bride did little hangover cure bags. It was a small tulle bag, with Advil, Tumms, and Peptobismal tablets. If you just want do do something small and not go over the top with a bag full of stuff. And, I always need a little hangover help after weddings! I have also seen some hangover remedies at the drug store, called Sea Man's cure or something like that, it has cute packaging. Don't know what's in in, but it looks cute.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
