Home Depot or Lowe's??

Recommended Posts

Hey girls! My fiance and I just registered at Macy's last weekend BUT we want to register at one more place- we want Lowes or HomeDepot because we recently bought a bank owned home, therefore, we would love gift cards, etc to fix up our home....we do not need dishes, etc, because we have lived together now for a year so we have everything! YAY! (BY THE WAY- FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT LIVE TOGETHER -THE FIRST 2 MONTHS WERE ROUGH FOR US- ADJUSTMENT FOR ME WAS HARD! NOW- JUST WONDERFUL!) As I was saying, have any of u registestered at Lowe's/Home Depot? If so let me know how you did it? To me It seems unaccesable? My Mom wamts me to include cards in our invites that say "Hom depot or Lowes" giftcards with our Macy's card but I think thats kind of tacky. Fill me in ladies!?

Oh but I LOVE me some DIY!!

First of all, please, I beg you, don't include registry stuff in your invites!!!! It is a HUGE faux pas. It's fine to put it on your website (with the disclaimer of "your presence is all we could ask for"), but not in your invites.

As far as how to "register", both actually have a registry:

For home depot, just go to (or open) your account, and there's an option for registry.

I don't know how you do it for Lowe's, but I've bought items there from a registry, so you should be able to find it.

good luck!

The registry info should really be a word-of-mouth thing... I would never put that info in the invitation. As for Lowes or HD... I've bought gifts from a registry at Home Depot before, but I haven't from Lowes, and I'm not sure how to start one at either place... but I like the idea. Especially if you want to focus on fixing up the house the way you want it, but you don't really need other household items.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
