Dreams Palm Beach or Melia Caribe Tropical ????????

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I'm also looking at these two hotels for our wedding. 4 days ago I emailed all 5 hotels on my list to find out if they have dates available. Melia representative (even tho not the WC who I originally send the email to) replied on the next day. But her email was so weird - partly in Spanish - and she didn't answer all the questions, so we decided to leave Melia out for now. I haven't heard from other hotels so far.

Dreams PB sounds like a good one! And we really need to decide within the next couple of days. I see some of you got responses from Dreams very quickly. Could you please give me an email of their WC?

Hello, I too am trying to decide between DPB and DPC. I thought I was set on Paradisus Punta Cana, but they just seemed to keep adding hidden fees, and the price just kept going up. It was crazy! I have alway loved the Dreams Resorts, but never considered them for our wedding. They seem to have everything we want. I just wish there was only one of them! (lol) It is so hard to decide. I had only sent an email to DPC to begin with not realizing that there was a second one, and now I think I like DPB just a little better, but there isn't a lot of info on DPB sine it is fairly new. I have yet to find any posts from anyone who has been married there. I am also wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between the silver and gold cocktail/dinner packages? Good Luck to everyone in your decision of where to have your DW, they both look beautiful and I don't see how we could make a bad choice! Thanks in advance for any help!

WOW!!! That is crazy. I can't believe that anyone would actually pay that much extra. I am definatley going to have an outside photographer. Aside from just being there for the obvious reason (marring my best friend) and having all of closest family and friends there, all I really want is the BEST pictures to remember that time for the rest of our lives! I have checked out a few in the area including Photosouvenir, Juan Guzman and Michael Weiler. I think all of them take wonderful photos, but am leaning towards Michael Weiler. I was wondering if anyone has used any of them and if so what kind of packages you did and how much they cost? Also if you would be willing to email me any of the picrures, I would love to see them(hanna_brooke@hotmail.com). I am also very interested in doing a TTD shoot, if anyone has done that or has info on it I'd really love to know more and would appreciate it!!!

THANKS!!!

The $1000 photog fee at the Melia also helped me rule them out of my top choices as well as I hear the Melia property is HUGE I wanted something more cozy. I am booked at Dreams PC because i liked there reception sites better and the property was a perfect fit for us. Deyanira and Sharon are the coordinators I work with and they usually get back to me within 2-3 business days when I email them.

Dreams PB seems very lenient. You can bring your own photographer for just a day pass fee. The prices are all very fair. I spent a lot of time researching, and Dreams PB is my first choice for various reasons. Its a beautiful and small resort. The weddings there are gorgeous, and so far the wedding planners have been super helpful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
