Should I register?

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone for the input, it really helps! I think we will register and make sure to let people know to please not feel obligated to get us something especially if they are traveling to the wedding.

Yes, do register! I agree with the other girls, people who can't come want to send gifts. What I did so it wasn't pushed on anyone (as it's not proper ettiquette to announce where you've registered in your invites) I created a page on my wedding website for my registries.

I registered at Crate and Barrel for nice home stuff and I also registered for a honeymoon registry so people can buy us activities, dinners, bottles of champange for our room etc during our wedding week. and I also registered at Marriott for our Fiji honeymoon.

I wanted people to have options to be involved in our wedding if they can't come or just send us standard gift. If people ask me where we are registered I tell them but other than that the information is only available online if they choose to want to know on their own. I had the same question if I should register or not but I'm glad I did because a lot of people asked.

Thanks so much Islandbride2b!! I think we will end up with 15 going with us total, which I didn't think we'd even have 10 when we started! We are getting excited!

We will be registering, but make sure to tell the guests that are coming to the wedding in Cuba that they do not need to get us a gift. We will be having an AHR with a sit down dinner for our extended family and they will all be bringing something. I would much rather it be stuff that we need/want rather than just them guessing!! lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
