Sandals Negril Beach Wedding 7/14/09

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!

We got married 2 weeks ago at the Sandals Resort and Spa in Negril, Jamaica.

My parents are the only ones who attended because we wanted a simple, no fuss wedding and that is exactly what we got. The travel agent took care of everything and all we had to do was fill out some paperwork about 6 months prior to leaving.

When we got to the resort we were told that we would be meeting with the wedding coordinator the next day. The following am we received a wedding book with all the optional upgrades prior to meeting with the coordinator. We did the "free" wedding package, and there was no pressure to buy any upgrades. I think we planned the entire wedding in about 15 minutes and even got to sample the cake choices.

The day of the wedding was so organized and smooth. Everything was in order and we had our pictures done and were back on the beach within a couple hours. The pictures turned out amazing! It was hard to narrow down which ones to get.

Our wedding night we picked a five course meal and chose to have it served at the Barefoot restaurant, where you eat on the beach with your feet in the sand. Super cool!

The following mourning we had a champagne breakfast served on our beachfront patio.

Such a great experience! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to do a simple wedding. The Sandals crew is so good at what they do and really care about making it whatever you want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
