This last year ive been feeling out of wack and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid,im now taking 75mg of thyroxine until my bloods are sorted.April 2008 i had surgery on my shoulder which needed fixinG as i had inpingment and arthritus.I consider this worked.I have had BAD problems with my tummy resulting in me now waiting for a colonoscopy my gp thinks i may have post infection IBS or maybe polyops as mum had them.I have a wait as the consultant wants to do it himself as he wants to look at my small bowel "oh joy"he also thinks i may be dairy intolerant.I didnt ask if once we get the results will i ever be better with meds etc or if my life is going to be like this. I loose so much time from work, i work as a radiology assistant so i cant run to the loo whilst working with a consultant doing biopsies not that i feel happy using the loo at work !!!!!! Today i should off been at the MJ concert insted im off to the drs again. Now my other (right) shoulder has been playing me up keeping me awake at nite.I was walking down the stairs the other day and it froze the pain made me sit on the stairs walking made it agony and i had to wait for the pain to go before getting up and whilst at work its been playing up.However on sunday whilst drying my hair i found a swelling near my left shoulder/collor bone and im a little worried i asked the radiographers at work and its to far away from my thyroid im hoping its a lymph node up .Oh i almost forgot ive had a mammo waiting for a clinic appointment as ive had a painful left boob which the radiologist i work with says is a lymph node.So with being 3 stone over weight i really am "FED UP BEING ME"

I'm so sorry to hear that but please keep your head up. I have a lot of my family who are diagnosed with various conditions and it can be so depressing, but what we do when we are feeling down is think of the many ways it can be worst and that usually lifts everyones spirit. Remember all the good things about you and remember that you have someone there who love you and you will have eachother for the rest of your lives. We are all rooting for you to get better!!

Hang in there girl. You have so much to look forward to in life - I know it's hard to take a moment and look at all the wonderful things in life when you feel like the crap just keeps piling on. I know that these "tests of character" sure seem unfair and untimely, but know that you have someone there to support you and things WILL turn around again.

A quick up date i went to the dr on thursday and he thought the lump wasnt to much to worry about. He examined my neck and commented that he could feel my thyroid.I went into work yesterday and got one of the radiologists to do the examination that my gp had requested.Im a little bummed at his efforts to be honest and the report was very short no measurements of the nodes etc which i know the othe radiologist would of done. The nurse who acted as chaperone was like i wouldnt let him do my exm if he was the last person here.Iam on holiday fr the next week and wanted to get it done however i know ive made a faux pas. When i asked him what he lump was he said he didnt know? explain to me please fluid? lymph node? wtf.The report says somink like results are what you would expect with the patients history.ummm arse hole springs to mind.I think when i go back in to work ill ask the other consultant to bring the images up and eplain them to me.My dr also wanted to put my thyroxine up but was umming and arring,i have got my bloods done and offered to go back to the other gp at the practice who has been sorting me out once im back from mum and dads.I didnt mention my shoulder another time and place maybe.I do consider myself fortunate when i look at the sick people that pass through our department, but by nature i just want to be firing on all cylinders. Thanks for ALL yoyr kind words x im off to see my mum and dad in ireland for the week so will be MIA XX

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
