I'm glad people think to ask these questions. They're always things i'm wondering, but never ask. Now for the other thousand questions.

Great thread..what if you have two wedding bands? Do you wear one on your right hand with your e-ring before the ceremony and flip them both over? They're contoured to fit around my e-ring and don't look right without it in the middle.

I planned on wearing my e-ring on my right hand, but it wouldn't fit. My right ring finger is slightly larger than my left (glad to read I'm not the only one-I thought I was a crooked freak!) so I just kept my e-ring on my left hand and switched them after the ceremony. I don't think anyone even noticed...

Thanks for asking this, I didn't even know about the whole wearing your wedding band closest to your heart thing, so I guess I'll have to figure out what to do w/ my e-ring during the ceremony.

            Great post!
I absolutely LOVE my life & ADORE my little family :)

My right finger is bigger then my left also, so i will just be keeping it on my left and switching them around after the ceremony.

LOVE this thread. My right finger is also bigger than left. What if I didn't wear it and put it in my FI pocket and then putting it on after the ceremony...woudl that be silly?

                  Not at all...

For my wedding I wore my e-ring on my right hand, then made the switch during the champagne and cake hour.

For my BFF"s wedding her e-ring didn't fit on her right hand, so I (as the MOH) wore her e-ring till the ceremony was over. Then I gave it back.

Love the idea of my MOH wearing it...she would love that as well :) Thanks for the tip.

I found this little blurb about the e-ring and used it as part of our ceremony. I had my e-ring on my right hand, and right after the 'ring exchange' for both of us, we had the officiant read this:

"The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. (Groom's name), please place the engagement ring on (bride's name)'s finger over her wedding band to symbolize that the love that brought you together will always protect and sustain your marriage."

I found this somewhere on this forum (sorry, to who-ever I may have stolen this from!) and thought it was a unique way to 'move' the e-ring! Whatever you do, make it comfortable for you!
