what to do with rings day of wedding

Recommended Posts

We gave our rings to our BM and Maid of honor. Funny thing is I kept saying in my head put your ering on your right ring finger.. but so much going on I still had my ering on my finger when he tried to put the band onblush2.gif so I quickly slipped it off and acted like nothing happened lol. I would say put it on the right finger at some point in the day preferably before your FI tries to put your band on :)foshizzle.bmp

we're doing the ering ceremony as well, i loved this idea when i saw it on the ceremony thread!!

i'm giving both of our rings and my ering to our ring bearer. she is my cousin who is 13 so i'm not worried about them getting lost. i'll give them to her right before we all walk out and they'll be tied down to the shell somehow

we had an engagement ring part of our ceremony, so we exchanged rings, and then he put the e-ring over my wedding band.

i was so busy that day that i totally forgot to take off my e-ring earlier, so when the minister asked for the rings, i quickly took off my e-ring & added it to the other 2 (that were in ted's pocket before-hand). lol! hopefully nobody was watching too closely. :)

here's part of our ceremony:

Aimee, take this ring, and as you place it on Theodore’s finger, repeat after me:

Bride: This ring I give you, as a token of my devotion and love, and with my heart, I pledge to you all that I am. With this ring I marry you again, and continue to join my life to yours.

The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Theodore, place the engagement ring on Aimee’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize the love that brought you together.

I gave my rings (wedding band, and ering) to my mom, who then delivered it to the room where my husband and best man were getting ready.  The best man had all of them so when the minister asked for them he presented them.  We also did the ering reading in our wedding ceremony.

My fiance's brother had a part in the ceremony that said something like, "Now take the engagement ring and slide it onto her ring finger to remind the two of you of the promises you made to each other for your marriage when it was first given."

Something like that.  I just thought it was really cool.  Kind of using the engagement promises to seal/protect the marriage.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
