You can probably negotiate the time of getting married when you arrive there. $$ talk :)

Please note that if your guests are staying at different resorts, they will have to purchase a day pass to enter your hotel. That can be anywhere from $70-250pp.

First off... as the previous posts said... chill -- the meltdown you are having is a result of the disappointment you feel from your family... the destination will be fine.

Consider Varadero -- lots of flights to and from from both the east and west.

Adults only resort to consider -- Melia Las Antillas... i have tons of pix... you can see a site visit review in this cuba section.. i'll bump it for you.

Let us know which resorts you are considering, as many of us have been to cuba multiple times, and will be able to provide you feedback ....

Have you found a travel agent? if you have and he/she is good, you should feel a lot more comfortable with the whole thing.

Also, in terms of the time of day... I read somewhere that the cost for a ceremony outside the regular times is $150 CUC... I'll see if I can find that for you...

Happy planning!

We were told that the Notary in Cuba have made exceptions and preformed a weekend wedding, but there would be an additional cost of $150.00 CUC. So that might be an option for you if you want to keep your date the same. I can just imagine the stress you must be under right now, but I'm sure it will all work out for you. Best of luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
