Cabo Azul

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has already had their wedding at the Cabo Azul resort. If so is it realistic to plan a wedding of about 100 guests with a $20,000 budget? If anyone could help me with how much they spent/packages etc I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

You should get in contact with the weddings people. I just returned from a vacation at Cabo Azul and have decided to get married there. It was gorgeous!!!!!!!!

The hotel staff could give you an excel estimates sheet for you to work with if you are seriously considering having your event there. But yes that may not be enough. The alcohol consumption costs are a min. of $47.50/person and the food consumption (I'll have to double check on this figure) was about $65.00/person. We were crunching numbers with my fiance and we anticipate a wedding with 40 guests will cost us about $10,000 USD. But that's including practically everything.

Having looked at the place I can say it's EXCELLENT value for the money. And the food is outstanding. I can't wait to have my wedding there!

Maybe you should get in touch with the staff to discuss your options.

All the best!!!

We are getting married at Cabo Azul (150 guests) and we made sure to get quotes from several hotels in the area.  It is pricey but it is actually more comparable to the Hilton and Sheraton prices.  Las Ventanas, Dreams, and Marquis were all more expensive than Cabo Azul...

When you book, there isn't much room for negotiation (believe me, we tried!) when it comes to on-site food and beverage prices, but all other services can come from outside vendors.  I am doing a lot of the planning (flowers, decorations, photography, rehearsal, etc) myself and would be happy to share what I've found.  All of my vendors with the exception of the photographers and hair and make-up are cheaper than what Cabo Azul originally quoted me.    More work, but less money!

If you are still interested, PM me and I'll be happy to share more.  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
