MDR Photography - Back in Business

Recommended Posts

Hello BDWF!

Wow, it is truly great to be back here. This forum was probably the most useful resource when my wife and I were getting married.

And now here I am, honoured to be posting on the other end of things and possibly helping out all of those Brides & Grooms out there.

So here's my story.

My name is Myles D. Rusak - Photographer and owner of MDR Photography. My company existed years ago in Ontario, Canada but I did shut its doors when my beautiful wife and I decided to move overseas to see the world.

We were blessed with our little girl Aloura (who is now two months old and growing like a weed!) and she has inspired us to return to our home of Canada.

Now back in Calgary, Alberta I have decided to re-open MDR Photography and get back enjoying what I love the most.

But there was a problem! While away our storage facility burnt to the ground. . .inside it. . . a lot of my photography gear, backups and essentially, my portfolio. I have since replaced my gear (and upgraded it!) but alas, my portfolio is lost to the ages. . .which truly hurts me deeply. But, like all things. . this too shall pass.

As such, I am now offering extremely low prices in order to rebuild my portfolio to the wonderful display it once was.

I really do look forward to working with you to make your day the most memorable of your life.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
