Omg please help me!!

Recommended Posts

On one hand I see how some brides say it's all about the love and that you and FI are getting married but things didn't go exactly as planned and I would definitely not say that my wedding was still "perfect" as so many girls do. Of course I cared the most about FI and I getting married BUT if I could tally up the hours, thought, blood, sweat, tears, and money that I put into the planning of the wedding I would way past broke! The things that are personal also matter when you get married.

When you can make sure that you write a professional email or call her and let her know that 1) you will ship the flowers back at her expense, 2) she will be paying for your new flowers however you are able to get them, 3) that if she does not make it right you will be contacting the BBB, FTC and writing reviews online (let her know about the forum), and 4) that every unhappy customer tells 10 other people on average while a happy customer tells only 3! :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone for all of your support and ideas! I am still trying to figure out what's going on... I did find out that a bride in Newfoundland has my flowers, and I think I have hers (unless there are other orders that are mixed up)...

I just feel terrible for the other bride... At least I will have a beach wedding next week so there may be time to still receive my order, but if she has her wedding tomorrow there's no way she'll get her flowers in time, even if I sent them now...

I have talked to other florists and they told me that in an event like this (however no one has heard of florists that have not only sent the flowers PAST the deadline but also sent the wrong order!) I should be entitled to a full refund, plus still receive my order of flowers as soon as I can receive them, and be compensated for the extra money I will now have to spend to have flowers for my wedding tomorrow. I was told that florists usually refund you anyway just for being late, let alone getting the wrong order. I am still waiting for Crystal's reply....

Thanks again. I will keep you updated!

I'm so sorry about the flowers. I just lost my dad in December so I know how important it is to have some sort of tribute to your Dad. If you can't get real ones from a florist I agree with the other girls about going to a craft store. Just breathe it will all work itself out and your dad will be with you with or without the flowers and your wedding day will be just perfect!smile03.gif

Im sure your dad would put his arms around you and say its ok he wouldnt want you to be getting so upset about it he knows how much you love and miss him its in your heart. So do the best you can to get some or get a good friend to take the pressure off by calling around.Do you have a garden centre where you can buy a peony tree/shrub and even if its not in flower plant it in your garen or in a tub in the morning.Your wedding day.OR do you know anyone that has a peony in there garden that you can cut some flowers from OR is there a girly on here right now that has a real touch peony bouquet they could lend you for tomorrow. Happy wedding day xxxxx

I am so sorry this happened! You def need to contact the BBB on this florist as well as write a review for other brides and warn them.

I know right now you feel terrible, especially when it had such special meaning for you. Things will work out I promise, your Dad would want for you to be happy right now.

Yikes!! This makes me so nervous. I ordered flowers from her for my wedding in Sept. Why is she responding to you by email and not calling you directly? Talking over the phone would resolve this in a shorter amount of time. I hope everything works out. I think Jacylinda's idea of a seat for your dad is wonderful!

I'm not sure why she hasn't called me... I've given her my number and she was planning to call me but I was pretty upset so maybe she felt it was best to keep it to emails...

UPDATE: I found a really wonderful florist who's going to make a bouquet for me for the church wedding tomorrow. It won't be peonies, but that's okay, I've decided to dedicate a little prayer to my dad instead.

Crystal has agreed to pay for the bouquet that I had to buy for the church wedding, and says she is still going to send me my order in time for the beach wedding (hopefully it works out this time!). She is very sorry this has happened, and at this point I'm just going to let it go and just concentrate on enjoying the day tomorrow. I'll leave the worrying about the flower order arriving for another day..

Thanks again to everyone for all their support! Couldn't have worked through this without you guys! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
