Married at Grand Palladium Jamaica

Recommended Posts

Girls you have nothing to worry about with this resort. I was there for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. Yes pool tiles were missing and yes I did cut my foot, BUT it did not ruin my week or my wedding!

We got married at 3pm and it was HOT, so if you have a big dress like I did I suggest getting married a little later. We got married at the Gazebo and it was beautiful, the view and the set up. There are also shaded areas up there for your guests to cool off. The judge was amazing and so funny and kept the whole mood light. One complaint is that we asked for a Civil ceremony and we had some God references in the readings but we let it go. Make sure you tell Jascynthia which one you want and make sure she lets the judge/Minister know. The music was played through our ipod and was very good sound and they use a microphone so all the guests could here no problem.

We did Champagne toast after and then a group shot and then family pics on site. We used Stacey Clarke and she was amazing!! I wouldnâ€t suggest using the hotel photographer as I saw him with a couple other weddings and he didnâ€t seem that great to me. Just add Stacey as a guest and pretend she is a friend from home and youâ€ll have no issues, then just tell the WC you donâ€t need the hotel photographer!

We did the rest of our photos on the beach and in the lobby on the grand staircase all great locations. We then had our reception in the Blue Lagoon and it was set up so nice. We had a U shaped head table because I had 18 ppl in our wedding party and the other 6 tables were rectangle which I was unhappy about seeing I was told they would be round. BUT they were draped with white linens and the flowers used at the Gazebo were brought over for the head table and parents table and then we used the 9 bridesmaids bouquets for the rest and it all looked really nice. I made place cards and brought them down and gave the WC a seating chart and they managed to get it right! The cake table had flowers as well and the cake was gorgeous and actually delicious and was Vanilla.

We did not get the DJ, we had 2 MCâ€s and our IPOD and they gave us a wireless mic and speaker, very easy to use and sound was great. The dance floor was in the hub to the left of us were we danced till 10pm and then went to party with the reggae band upstairs which were AMAZING!

All in all the day was great, yes our wedding was delayed 45min, yes God was referenced and yes my tables were square but it didnâ€t matter. Just make sure when Jascynthia sets your meeting that its actually with her, b/c the first time I met I got her assistant who was useless and I had a total melt down and met with Jascynthia the next day. She managed to get most things right but she isnâ€t the nicest of people. We think they really need to hire someone with a little more passion for weddings!

Anyways here is a link to our friends photos he took, I donâ€t have my professional ones in yet but this will give you a good idea of what it will look like!

Thanks! I'm glad I could help! The flowers were ordered through the resort and in total i think were $230. That was by bouquet and my 9 bridesmaids flowers. There are bridal bouquets that come with the packages but i didn't like any of them so they charged me the difference. So many nice ones to choose from it was hard!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
