Random though - bugs in PV?

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is random, but I just thought of it today because I just got a few small bug bites on my arms and I was thinking - this can't happen before the wedding!

How is the bug situation in PV? specifically in Dec?

for some reason bugs love me! and I get bit very easily (I've heard I need to take my vitamin B)

Thanks for any tips!

I have heard people really recommend taking bug spray with you, but I think it is more for excursions outside the resorts. But I would bring some just in case, I can't imagine they would be too bad in December, but there are some crazy bugs in foreign countries!

I have been to puerto vallarta a couple times and I have never really had a problem - I have actually never brought bug spray on vacation in Mexico and I have always been fine. To be sure just pack a can of spray and if you need it you will have it! Also you might want to check when the rainy season is - if its rainy there is a better chance for bugs.

The rainy season is June-Nov. so you should be good in december. I was on a charity bike ride this past weekend and they had bug spray there that actually smelled good it was in an orange bottle. But I wouldn't stress about it, since you will be out of the rainy season you should be all good!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
